why they won't just go ahead and ban plastic bags here and why every dumbass in the world thinks they need two plastic bags for every crappy processed food item they buy
- -davies-

read somewhere that paper bags wind up being worse for the environment than plastic.

In TO, you gotta pay 5 cents for each bag. tiny amount of money, but it makes people stop and think about how many bags they really need.

The thing is paper bags are quite (frank)ing useless and don't last. If you are to reuse your bags plastic are nicer. I don't mind paying either.

plastic bags also don't wind up in the landfill, because everyone has has at least one plastic bag filled with an endless supply of plastic bags in their house.

I can't figure out how I can fill a basket and if I bag myself use 2 bags(which I reuse), but when don't have the option to bag I'm walking out with 6 or 7 bags some of which are doubled up.
- Lahey

Eggs and meat usually in a seperate bag if they pack. I just throw throw them in the same bag. Miss the big paper bags they had when I was a kid.

seriously though, guys.

in an effort to save the world (not on a hockey website this time) i shop at this supermarket/grocery/food store that doesn't even use bags. they have some that you can buy if you're stupid, but you really are supposed to just use some of those reusable canvas bags or whatever. i just keep 3 of those bags in the back of my car.

this makes up for my long ass showers and how i am raping mother nature by using that much water. cancels it right out.

personally, I have a hard time seeing how using water hurts the planet.

It all rejoins the water cycle eventually.

I get how it can affect communities in arid places- but the north east doesn't really qualify.

Costco and No Frills provides you with boxes that were used in the original shipping of products. Don't mind that route

But it takes the place of garbage bags, reducing the demand. Reduced demand = reduced supply.

The conventional wisdom among the hockey community is that one of the reasons Ryan Miller wants to wait until free agency on July 1 is to see if there's any interest from the Anaheim Ducks. There was all sorts of speculation that the Ducks tried to make a trade with the Buffalo Sabres earlier this season for Miller, but that it fell through and they weren't able to do it.

Miller's whore wife is an actress. She does all sorts of work in Hollywood and the possibility of being on a California team might be something that is really good for Ryan Miller and really screw the St Louis Blues.
