i'm pretty sure if ghandi had the internet he would have done all of his work on a hockey website guaranteeing nobody listens or cares and he would have died accomplishing nothing.

Enough! You are trivializing a substantial matter. I choose not to communicate with you again. I no longer see you, other than for your misguided commentary

We Baby Boomers were very politically active in our youth and often exercised free speech rights to protest inequality and demand the changes that subsequent generations now take for granted.

We advanced civil rights, women's rights, brought political pressure to end the Vietman war & the Cold War, started the environmental movement, the peace movement and set the stage for the current high-tech era (Bill Gates & Steve Jobs) forced dramatic shifts in educational, economic and social opportunities.

The Space Age was brought to you by the Boomer Generation, and all the by products that accompanied it.

We eradicated a number of diseases you've probably never heard of like polio, smallpox, measles, mumps, rubella & whooping cough.

Oh and we gave the world Rock and Roll .

All this of the top of my head, and there is much much more.

You're welcome

And how much of this were you against because it wasn't traditional?

Also, Women's rights, racial desegregation, the space race, rock and roll, and all those cures you mentioned... these things were likely all started and propagated by people born before the boomer generation. The people who pioneered these discoveries/causes/revolutions were part of either "the greatest generation" or "the silent generation".

What the boomers brought us was a return to fundamentalism in western society, crippling debts, environmental problems, renewed racial tensions, a broken education system, and massive government corruption... all while benefiting from policies that made it easy for anyone to be successful, and an economy that allowed you to put a down-payment on a house with a week's earnings.

Some boomers, mainly hard working immigrants that you would see turned away, don't share the same blame... but regardless, it's up to the following generations to fix the mess your generation left us with.

thanks a lot Richardweed.
