Why we still use shoe laces when we invented zippers and velcro.

also, why shoe laces were ever a thing, when buckles have been readily available for millenia and are far more reliable.

laces are easy to replace, replacing buckles and zippers is more expensive and more difficult

and if i ever catch you with velcro on your shoes i'm going to slap you into next week.

see, even knowing how stupid it is to wear laces over velcro, I still won't go with the velcro.

Whoever was in charge of marketing velcro failed, miserably. Pigeonholed the product into kids-wear, and let it get such a bad reputation outside that people are willing to risk life and limb to avoid it.

laces aren't stupid, it extends the life of a quality shoe. i have boots that have zippers, when that zipper goes it's pretty much not reparable. a good shoe will outlast laces which are easily replaced.

You just need to find a good shoemaker, complete bullpoop that something as simple as a zipper would end a shoes life.

it's possible, but would depend on if it's a standard size zipper etc and would be expensive

the point is that laces are easier to replace imo and glucker should stick to velcro.

ek's site has an ad for a car dealership in illinois that states they have a 1999 jeep wrangler with 110,355 miles on it for $8,994.00

the entire backseat and cargo area would have to be filled with gold bricks for it to be worth $8,994.00
