Wow.

On November 30, 2011, friend Wade Redden sent a video cassette to Ryan's home in hopes of increasing Ryan's interest in playing for the New York Rangers. The video featured a 34-minute loop of Wade Redden turning his head toward a cell phone camera and winking. Rumor is Ryan saw this and almost immediately requested a trade to the New York Rangers. Wade Redden got this idea from Chris Drury, who sent a video to Marian Gaborik with similar hopes.

On November 30, 2011, at approximately 11:06 p.m. EST, Ryan was traded to the New York Rangers for center Eric Christensen, his pet cockatoo, and superstar winger Andre Deveaux. Rangers' analyst John Gianonne had this to say after hearing of the trade: "I think Ryan is a great fit for this hockey club, he's surely going to score plenty of times from the side." Donald Brashear agreed on his Twitter page, re-tweeting Gianonne's earlier tweet also adding "#ThankyouWadeRedden."

Sinterklaas (or more formally Sint Nicolaas or Sint Nikolaas; Saint Nicolas in French; Sankt Nikolaus in German) is a traditional Winter holiday figure still celebrated today in the Low Countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium.

A Zwarte Piet (Black Pete, plural Zwarte Pieten) is a servant of Sinterklaas, usually an adolescent in blackface with black curly hair, dressed up like a 17-th century page in a colourful dress, often with a lace collar, and donning a feathered cap

And now Canada has banished this bastard!!
