when you sit near the water at this one area in high park you can see a ton of chipmunks near trees just waiting for you to show any sign of wanting to feed them lol. they go right up to you if you do.

we had them in my yard growing up but they were scared poopless of people. they were nonstop on the hop, like a flash across the driveway and into the gutter spout to hide. once they got in there they'd realize the couldn't go up so you'd hear them scratching around in there. you'd try to wait him out but apparently these things are pro waiters. you'd eventually have to give up and go in the house.
