I suppose I can do one too

1. My favorite player is Doug Gilmour

2. Favorite number is 93 (see above)

3. Even though i'm a die hard Leafs fan, i've never been to the ACC.

4. Been to Maple Leaf Gardens... to watch a prospects game

5. Been to 4 Leafs games (3 in Ottawa and one in Vancouver)

6. The game I went to in Vancouver was the one where Stumpy scored the overtime winner from his knees

7. I am apparently banned from the Corel center ( i refuse to call it anything else) because I brought an airhorn in, and after the Leafs got blown out 8-0, i was pissed and started blowing it walking out. Security didnt like that, so i blew it in his face. I got escorted out and told never to come back.

8. #6 is the only game i've been to where the Leafs won, I dont think ive been to a game where the Leafs have scored. (other than the one in Vancouver)

9. Went to a Montreal vs Buffalo game a long time ago. Montreal was shut out and I was disappointed. The reason was i always heard the Bell Center had a big atmosphere so I wanted to see how it felt when the home team scored.\

10. I briefly like the Colorado Avalanche more than the leafs. It was right after they won the cup, and in grade 6 i found an Avalanche hat and loved it. It only lasted a couple weeks.

11. Have a family tradition for watching Leafs playoff games. We always watch all the playoff games in the garage. I miss it.

12. One of my favourite current players is Mike Fischer, it just sucks that hes a Senator.

13. I teared up a little watching the ceremony before the last game at the Gardens was played. I watch it sometimes on youtube and it still gets me.

14. Played goalie from ages 14-17, now being 22 played it again for the first time since then for a game of pickup, I was sweating and breathing wayh harder than I ever have playing out. You forget how heavy that equipment is.

15. Have 2 Leafs jerseys, one blank one and a Raycroft one...... i won it at Boston pizza, so it didnt cost me anythign, but still sucks.

16. Daydream all the time of becoming a billionair so i can buy the Leafs off the tw@s and run the team right.

17. Got an autograph from Yushkevich and was always amazed how tough he was. Still remember him getting hit in the face with the puck and still playing the game.

18. My uncle managed Bobby Orrs sports store back in the day and got a big picture of his famous goal autographed by him... i secretly want it.

19. Hate the Sens with all my heart

20. Kinda crappy at NHL 09, even on easy

8. I have seen the habs play in Ottawa, Boston, Toronto, Philly and Tampa. I have a goal to see them play in all NHL cities.

9. It does not make me angry when the habs loose. It does make me angry when they dont give 100%

10. I took my son to his first game when he was 3. Habs vs Red Wings.

11. For any women who might read this, YES I am sure the players can hear me when I yell at my TV.

16 My mom is the REAL hockey mom. F.U. Palin

17 I bought all new goalie gear this year, all red white and blue like the habs.

18. Everytime I have the day off of work, sick or not I go to see the habs practice.

19. I would sell my soul for season tickets in the reds.

1. One of my favorite memories of my Oilers' Cup Wins was the first when me and thousands of others partied on Jasper ave late into the morning - no vandalism, no violence and even the cops were in a great mood!
2. Standing at the bar and chatting up Don Jackson and Glenn Anderson while we were all shooting tequila
3. Petr Klima's overtime winner against Boston.
4. Todd Marchant's ot winner in game 7 against Andy Moog and Dallas
5. EA Sports NHL 09 - greatest hockey video game EVER!!! the Be a Pro mode is great fun.
6. My first hockey game with my future Father-in-law (rip, Alan) was Edmonton - Winnipeg with Mark Lamb scoring the winner in OT.

8. I didn't have an aversion to ankle slashing now and again
9. Greatest hockey date? When Peter Pocklington finally sold the Oilers
10. Gretzky is/was and will always be a class act and the greatest hockey player of all time!
11. I've never caught a puck at a game, but I have caught three t-shirts shot into the stands. My wife, on the other hand, has caught 2.
12. Being an Oiler fan in Calgary can be brutal...
13. I have every version of the Oilers jerseys from 79 forward!
14. I have a Calgary Flames hat that I sometimes wear in the playoffs if Calgary is still in...not that I cheer for them, but there are a lot more parties if you wear the right gear!
15. I will always cheer for a Hockey market team vs. a non hockey market (like Tampa Bay or Phoenix...) team
16. I always host a playoff party with bbq chicken and Corona on ice...every year without fail....
17. I will never boo a National Anthem and those that do should have their tickets revoked. Classless act.
18. Love the shootout.
19. Hate Sean Avery
20. Hockeybuzz is the single reason I don't get enough work done during the day!!!!!!

1- When I was young, I was coming back downstairs silently after bedtime and spy on the TV while my dad was watching the hockey game.

2- I've started as a goalie, but now can play pretty much anywhere on the ice without loooking like a fool. Except at faceoffs...

3- Used to play rollerhockey 52 weekends per year in the street with friends, whatever the temperature. Caution : a frozen tennis ball can really hurt your nuts.

4- I still think Blades of Steel is the best damn hockey game that was ever created... crappy goalie control, penalties awarded only to the player that was ko'ed in fights... classic!

5- I was at the Bell Centre, in 2002, for the Habs/Sens game... the return of Saku Koivu following his cancer. My friend and I had perfectly timed it. Craziest pre-game I've ever seen. You couldn't hear yourself scream when Saku came on the ice for the warmup: crazier than any playoff game I've seen at the Bell Centre. Nobody heard the national anthems that night, and the referee actually delayed the initial playoff. The Sens players showed a lot of class that night, first by applauding Saku before the game, and then by letting us win and secure a playoff spot...!

6- I was also there when Saku almost lost his eye during the first round playoff against Carolina. To this day, I still can't believe Justin Williams (or was it Jason?) was not called for it. One of my friends, a Koivu-hater, actually said this when it happened : "What a softy! He's faking!" He felt like crap the next day... Two days later, I was back at the Bell Centre for game #4. The same Williams almost took Markov's eye out on an identical play. Again, no call. "Whatever it takes" was their moto that year...

7- Back in the 1993 playoffs, I still had to respect some sort of bedtime. But whenever the Habs would push a game to overtime, I'd go to bed with a smile on my face, knowing that they would win. They did.

8- I'm 5' 9", and often playing defense. Once, a 6' 3" forward litterally tried to skate over me during a match. On my next shift, he was coming towards me as I was stopping the puck in the offensive zone. As he approached, I just bent a little and hip-checked him into the air. Even more satisfying : the guy was wearing a #88 Team Canada jersey...

... can't think of 12 others... this is way too long..!

1) For two years no one I played hockey with knew my name, they just called me Tocchet because of my Flyers jersey.
2) My number has always been 92.
3) I started out a goalie until rollerblades were invented, I fell on my butt on my first stop attempt and never wore the blocker and glove again.
4) There is nothing better than diving to the ice and blocking a slap shot.
5) My old ice rink in DE used to have the Keg Cup Tournament every year. A keg was provided at each bench and if the game went to overtime the goalies were pulled and it was most goals at the end of OT win.
6) A beer after a win is better than a beer after a loss.
7) My teams first season of ice hockey we won 2 out of 20 regular season games and swept 5 playoff games to win the championship.
8) Bob Kelly used to run my roller rink and he used to hang out at the captains meetings.
9) Reggie Leach used to play pickup before my hockey games.
10) Reggie Leach now is the assistant coach of my old high school team.
11) I am on a 30 year trek to see the Flyers in every arena.
12) The Flyers caused me to lose my two favorite hats, one in Philly and one in Raleigh.
13) I stumbled upon the Stanley Cup at a sporting goods in DE one random afternoon.
14) My favorite players growing up were Hextall and Tocchet.
15) I wish for the old days where someone would pull a Bobby Clarke on Crosby's ankle. He owns us.
16) I've been part of numerous "let's go Flyers" chants in Raleigh.
17) Whether on TV, live, or taped and watched later, I have seen every Flyers game for the last 4 years. I know I am a loser.
18) I prefer wood hockey sticks.
19) Every year I drive back to Philly for the Flyers home opener.
20) My favorite present I ever gave was a Ovechkin autographed stick to my brother (a Caps fan).

Lets see.

1. I started skating when i was 5 yrs old.

2. The same age that we moved from the grand old town of Moose Jaw
to the family farm 50 mins SW of the Jaw.

3. Growing up and playing hockey all over Southern Sask., the only notable name I played against was Marleau, once or twice.

4. As Hodgeville, the team he played for in minor hockey played in a diffrent league then the team(s) I played for. So the teams only meet in Tounreys. I can't remember a single game where our team ever beat hodgeville.

5. I remember going to the big city as a kid(ya at the it was big to this kid) and watching Theo, Keane and Odelein play for the Warriors against Sakic and his Broncos.

6. My Grandpa had season tickets to the SC Bronco's for as long as I can remember, he would always talk about how great Joe was.

7. I went to a summer Swift Current Conditioning camp one year, with at the time current and recently graduated NHLers including Super Joe.

6. I did touch the cup in 93 when Keane brought it back to MJ.

8. After moving back to the Jaw, when I was about to enter HS.

9. In my grade 9 year (freshman in HS), I remember sitting beside two Seniors by the name of Curtis Brown and Ryan Smyth. He still had the Mullet.

10. Reed Low was a sight to see walk down the halls to a scrawny 9th grader.

11. Going through High School with Junior hockey players, who were treated like gods and could do no wrong, made me despise them. One in paticular I loathed the most was no. 57 Chad Heintz. Mr Heinze 57 as he liked to call himself. I'm glad he only got called up for one or two games with the Oil.

12. Pavel Kubina was the only Warrior at the time that I could stand.

13. My best year in Minor Hockey came in my 2nd Year Pee Wee. We didn't lose more then 10 games all year. Including the city Championships and every Tourney we went to. Only time I broke a 100 points in a season.

14. My wrist was broken by my own defensmen during the Cities. I was back checking and trying to left the opponenets stick when the dman decided to nail him in open ice. My wrist snapped. Skated back to the bench and didn't know what was wrong, only that I could lift my arm. MY first but not last xp. with Shock.

15. The next year (1st year Bantam) I tried out for the AAA Warriors. I hurt my knee during camp and wasn't able to finish camp. Then missed AA camp and ended up playing A. The downward spiral of knee problems had began.

16. I poped and strained my knee 2 different times during the season both times not giving it enough time to recover. The last of the two times was more serious then I expected.

17. Ended up getting a knee brace for it. But even with it my knee would pop out multiple times during the game. I would then limp back to the bench, get yelled at by the coach, and then Pop my knee back in, putting one hand on above and one below my knee. After poping it back, my knee would be extremly weak, but was usually ready for my next shift. The team doctor was an idiot and told me nothing was wrong with it.

18. My knee did this for the rest of minor hockey, until the summer before my last year of Midget. I was playing fastball, wearing my knee brace. I was up to bat, and saw all the outfileders shift to the one side becuase I was a left hand batter. So so i lined up and punched a shot over the 3rd basmens head down the line. The tourque caused my knee to pop. As I hopped to first base I tried to pop my knee back in, it wouldn't go. So I hopped all around the bases and made it home, then kept on hoping to my car as everyone congratulated me. I went straight to the hospital and had my knee scoped the following day.

19. ACL gone, Miniscus gone, should replace ACL, but never did. Still played hockey intramural in college and then mens league for 6 years before it finally wore down enough that it was hard to walk around the golf course without pain. Then had my knee rebuilt.

20. Also broke my elbow playing floor hockey in college, was checked into the wall, something felt weird as I could no longer shoot the puck or raise my arm. Instead of leaving to get it checked out, I played goal for the remainder of the hour.

So maybe my thoughts should of been more random and short, but my thoughts are never short.

1. My first live NHL game was Edmonton against Montreal at Northlands Coliseum. When Denis Savard was with the canadians.

2. I learned how to skate before I learned how to ride a bike.

3. I was a big Doug Gilmour fan growing up and still am.

4. When I was younger I used to go to the coliseum for NHL teams autographs. My dad called the Oilers to find out when the Leafs practice was to get autographs. The staff said "It is a private practice and no fans are allowed". Their reasoning was that the Leafs were in a fight for the playoffs and in the same conference as the Oilers, so no one was allowed to watch. My dad called up the Westin hotel and asked for one of the Leafs representatives to give him a call back. We got call back from Harold Ballard!!! The guy wasn't so bad after all, he put us on his guest list and we got to view the practice and go into the dressingroom.

5. I have played every position in hockey for 3 years or more at a high level.

6. I had to hire a lawyer to get my release from the Canadian Athletic Club in Edmonton, so I could play somewhere else.

7. Being a huge Doug Gilmour fan, I use to have my friends call me Killer Tokes as a spin off of Gilmour's nickname Killer Blue. Tokes has to due with my last name I'm not a pothead.

8. I grew up playing two on two hockey with Mike and Paul Comrie at the outdoor rink. Their dad would sign them up for hockey at our house since my dad was the director of the community league.

9. I have played against Bouwmeester and Vanek. Vanek lived in Lacombe, AB. when he moved to NA. I even won the scoring title in the tournament we were in together, yet he is in the NHL and I'm sitting at the computer typing this sh*t out. lol.

10. Lafontaine and Andreychuk were the nicest NHLers I have ever met. The biggest jerk was a Ruutu that played for Buffalo during the Mogilny days there. Mogilny was also really nice.

11. I met Don Cherry at the Westin Hotel and he pulled out of his jacket the Rock'em Sock'em 5 cover and signed it for my brother and I (he signed it from Don & Blue, lol.). Later on we saw him at the Leafs game and I give him credit he remembered our names! lol.

12. Kelly Rudy once bought me a deck of cards. My team was in a tournament in Red Deer and we were staying at the same hotel as they were. They were filming the very first Hockey Day In Canada. He bought it for me in the store in the lobby of the hotel.

13. I still think 93' was a conspiracy! They wanted LA in the finals to help promote hockey down there. Kerry Fraser is a joke!

14. I have used wooden sticks all my life until two years ago.

15. I have never hit anyone from behind and one season I was the only player on my team that never got suspended. Even both goalies on my team got suspended.

16. I have never played with another Colin on my team until I was in my 2nd year of bantam and we all spelled it differently. Mine was Colin, one was Collin and the other Kollin. And you guessed it the one who spelled it really f-ed up (Kollin) was actually f-ed up in the head!

17. I was in a bad car accident when I was 18 so I was unable to play junior. I was a passenger in a car that went off a highway overpass into a whole bunch of trees. But i'm planning on trying out for the college team this year since I have a huge competitive edge still and I'm in the best shape of my life.

18. I missed out on meeting Gretzky when I was younger. my friend growing up's uncle was Joey Moss. I got called home for dinner by mom and a half hour later Gretzky showed up at my buddy's place. My buddy and another friend bragged the whole next day that they got pictures taken with him and a signed Easton stick. It still bugs me to this day. lol.

19. I use to train at the U of A with Nolan Baumgartner, Jason Strudwick, Mike Comrie, Jason Holland etc... during the summer on a skating treadmill.

20. I have all Team Canada's World Junior games on tape since 1985. Piestany Punch out even!

I can go on all day, but i'm going to stop there.

1- When I was young, I was coming back downstairs silently after bedtime and spy on the TV while my dad was watching the hockey game.2- I've started as a goalie, but now can play pretty much anywhere on the ice without loooking like a fool.

1. Huge NYI fan
2. Became a huge NYI fan for an odd reason; grew up in Sudbury, home of Al Arbour, and at age 9 was cheering on my "favourite" coach's team
3. My Father and Al Arbour's father worked together
4. I never played organized hockey growing up
5. After getting out of college, I decided to manage a minor hockey team to pad my resume with outside interests.
6. Went on to be manager/coach/trainer/team psychologist of minor ockey teams for 14 years, without ever having a losing season.
7. Have not lived in Sudbury for 12 years, but still keep an eye on the OHL standings to see how the Sudbury Wolves are doing.
8. I have received two Islander jerseys as gifts that I still have; my ex wife gave me a christmas gift of the "Captain Highliner" fishermans jersey, and a very good friend of mine bought me an "Isbister" jersey (not sure why Isbister, but it was the thought that counts, I still have it.
9. I own over $2000 worth of Islanders memorabilia, my favourite being a team bus that has music play when you push down on it.
10. My 40th birthday present from myself was a trip to Montreal and New York to watch the Islanders play at the Bell Centre and the "Shrine" on Long Island.
11. I only got to see one live playoff game during the Dynasty years and that was a game in Montreal, where the Islanders crushed the Habs.
12. Favourite player of all time will always be Bryan Trottier. The man was a beast.
13. One of the happiest days as an Islander fan was when they traded Todd Bertuzzi away. I coached against him in Sudbury and I am still surprised that they make hockey helmets big enough to fit his ego, and small enough to fit his brain. I am just happy that he was not an Islander when the marbles fell out and he seriously injured someone. The tears he cried following that incident where for the money he was losing and nothing else.
14. I still believe Rick will live up to his contract.
15. My second favourite team is anyone playing the Rangers.
16. I have still never met the man who helped create my coaching style and got me hooked on the Islanders, Al Arbour.
17. Never a gaming kind of guy, I only played NHL 200 once and won against my buddy using the Islanders over the Rangers, him being a huge Rangers fan, and won 7 - 1. Would never accept a rematch.
18. Was happy the day they hired Ted Nolan but was also glad the day they fired him, just because I was happy to see them go into full rebuild mode.
19. I will be back in Sudbury this year for a reunion with a lot of my old hockey players and can't wait to see the many great players I had the privilege to coach.
20. I am hoping you can convince Burt to do a segment on who he thinks will get Tavares in the draft this year.

1. Theo Fluery was an idiot as a Ranger.
2. My Art teacher in 6th grade claimed she was dating Ron Duguay, she was hot.
3. It's amazing that Carole Alt was dating Ron Greschner a long time ago and is still with Yashin now, is she 80 years old? Just wondering.
4. Bruins fans are obnoxious
5. Never met a Devils fan, ever.
6. I went to the world hockey championships in St. Petersburgh, Russia in 2000. I met Butch Goring in the crowd, then fell asleep in the stands, woke up to Russian cops threatening to arrest me or something along those lines, I had no idea what they were saying. The one Russian speaker in our group saved me. (Miro Satan was MVP of that tourney, how did that happen?)
7. Kirk Muller bailed on the Islanders and is useless
8. My buddy got hammered at an Islanders-Ducks game in Anaheim, went to slide down a bannister after the game, slid off the bannister and busted his wrist.
9. I spent an entire Ducks-Flyers game talking on the phone to some girl in the arena lobby, my buddies have never let me forget. I had to buy beers the entire train ride home and am reminded of my stupidity often.
10. My bro invited a girl for dinner the night Pat Lafontaine scored the winner for the Isles in the third or fourth OT. The entire family was glued to the tv, she was bored out of her mind and we never saw her again.
11. Lafontaine was all by himself at the end of his Isles career, dude had no help whatsoever and was a stud.
12. I actually was happy the day the Isles got Yashin, have no idea what was wrong with me back then.
13. The dude who spread his moms ashes at the Eagles game? That's my buddy, he got in a fight at a Flyer-Coyote game and we all watched him get escorted out of the Arena.
14. Growing up on Long Island, girls could not play in our roller hockey league, we called my sister Mark and she dominated, they found she was a girl and booted her.
15. I have not been to the Nassau Coliseum since 1982 but it was horrible with all those metal steps back then, hard to believe the Isles still play there.
16. Denis Potvin was great
17. I watch every minute of every Islander game, thus, I drink too much, how else can I get though it?
18. I moved to LA, we sat with Joe Tripoli the organ player for 5 bucks as students, then they traded for Wayne and those days were over.
19. I remember when the Isles would come to the forum in LA, and, they were respected, now I hear laughter sometimes as I wear my Isles jersey, but, those days will return, have to be an optimist.
20. I need to do some work, Isles faceoff at 4:30 vs Habs, did I mention Kirk Muller is useless?

1. I went to my first Leafs game at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1976 right before I turned 7. Leafs lost to the Flyers.
2. I had to attend 13 Leaf games before they didn't lose. In my 13th live game, they tied Quebec (no OT back then.)
3. In my 15th live Leafs game at the Gardens, the Leafs beat Vancouver for my ever win that I saw in person.
4. I lived two doors down from NHLer Tim Trimper in Brampton, ON. He signed autographs for my sister and I when we were kids and I never forgot how nice he was to us.
5. Tim Trimper paid 50 cents when my sister and I had a juice sale outside our house. We were charging 25 cents so we got a good tip.
6. My neighbour took me to a Leafs game when I was 8 and we ran up the down escalators at the subway station in Toronto getting out of the subway to beat the rush of people heading to the game.
7. I'll never forgot the smell of the roasted chestnuts and the whistling sounds coming from the popcorn vendors on Carlton St before Leafs games.
8. When we played road hockey as kids and pretended to be actual players, I used to play goal and loved picking somewhat mediocre goalies at the time like Dan Bouchard and Gilles Meloche.
9. I met Tiger Williams at a hockey card show and he autographed a picture of him riding the stick in a Canucks uniform.
10. I met Lou Franceschetti at the same show and got his autograph too.
11. I met Rob Ramage while he was captain of the Leafs waiting for a ride outside a card show after he'd had an autograph signing session.
12. I remember driving to McDonalds on a Sunday morning with my dad and hearing on the radio that Pelle Lindbergh had died.
13. I went to a few Toronto Marlboro games back in the early 80s and the only player I remember is goalie Bruce Dowie.
14. I still have all my old Leafs programs from the 70s and 80s that I bought at the games I attended.
15. I went to a Sens-Islanders game in Ottawa with my friend and we sat in the very top row, one row above 5 drunk (and very funny) Leafs fans who heckled the Sens the whole game.
16. I remember actually feeling sorry for the Ottawa Senators when the Leafs crushed them at a live game I attended back in the early 90s. I was actually sorry that the Sens were that bad. How times have changed. Now they both suck and I feel sorry for myself that I'm still a Leafs fan.
17. I have a personalized autograph from Wayne Gretzky with him holding a Mr Big chocolate bar when he was endorsing them back in the early 80s.
18. My favourite goalie number is 35.
19. I sat next to Willi Plett's brother at a Leafs-Calgary game back in the early 80s.
20. I miss hearing nothing but organ music at hockey games.

Damn... I should have put that. I have one of them too. First time any pro sports star had signed a million dollar endorsement deal. In any sport I believe.
