#1 met Rocket Richard when I was about 8 (1988)m, got his autograph and the local paper took my picture with him. That picture now hangs framed in my recroom with the autograph.

#2 I've been a goalie since the first game I ever played. My father was also a goalie.

#3 I played as a defenseman only once and scored a goal on my friend with a backhander from the blueline when I was 11.

#4 My number is 30.

#5 Played in a charity game against Dan Paillle.

#6 First live NHL game was in Buffalo when I was 5 against the Oilers.

#7 My Wife, my daughter and me got our picture taken with the Cup this past summer when the Red Wings goalie coach brought the cup back home (Niagara Falls) to his day with the cup.

#8 I keep all the ticket stubs of the games I attend. Unfortunately the only one I don't have is my first game. I was too young to understand that I should keep it.

#9 I attended two # retirement ceremonies in Buffalo, one for Pat Lafontaine and one for Danny Gare (Got his autograph that night. I wasn't there for the ceremonies, I was there for the games. It just so happens that's the days they were. Lafontaine's was during a Leaf's game, that's why I was there.

#10 I collect hockey memorabilia. I have a framed picture from the last game at MGL and a piece of the boards, a signed picture of Cujo form the last game at MGL, signed pictures of Palmateer, Fuhr, Bower, Kerry Fraser (:yuck and Raycoft. Plus a signed mini stick and puck of Raycroft. I have a plaque (2 feet x 2 feet) with pictures of all Leafs cup winners, a plaque (2 feet x 3 feet) of the Stanley Cup, an authentic replica inflatable Stanley Cup. I have a Leafs have signed by Belak. I have pictures of Sittler, Sundin, Cujo and Palmateer with pieces of their sticks. I have a framed picture of the 2002 Gold medal Champs. and finally I have a replica mask of Bruce Gamble and numerous bobble-heads and figurines.

#11 I used to collect hockey cards as a kid.

#12 I have a Maple Leafs license plate!!

#13 I never miss a Leafs game. I PVR it if I have to.

#14 I got Kirk Muller's autograph in 1993.

#15 I grew up across from a park that had a pond and a tennis court. Spent nearly my entire childhood playing hockey there. Spring summer and fall in the tennis court and winter on the ice of the pond.

#16 Never had a major injury (thankfully) during my playing time, except for a lot of really bad bruises!!

#17 I still play hockey and I'm still a goalie after 23 years of playing.

#18 My brother and I used to play hockey with mini stick on our knees in the basement, inevitably leading to a fight!!LOL!! My brother and I also wrecked the fence in our back yard playing "contact" hockey one-on-one.

#19 Despite being a goalie, I hated playing goal in road hockey. It's not the same, it doesn't feel the same.

#20 I taught my daughter who is my avatar picture (that pic is well over a year old now. She's over 2 now) to say "GO LEAFS GO" and "LEAFS #1"

Edit:
I already have 20, but I also was in attendance of the Winter Classic in Buffalo. It was amazing!!

1. The most famous NHL player I ever met was Curtis Leschyshyn, I got his autograph at a card convention when he played with the Nordiques

2. A friend of my mom's got the chance to meet a bunch of Blues in the early 90's, he got me a photo of Brett Hull which appeared to be signed in Crayon ... to this day I believe its a fraud.

3. Growing up my best friends dad employed a number of Saskatoon Blades, I on occassion got to hang out with such greats as Tim Cheveldae and Jason Christie

4. My dad once gave Gump Worsely a ride from the airport ... he got his autograph for me ... I had no idea who he was.

5. I played defense for the majority of my minor hockey "career"

6. I nearly got cut from a tier 2 team after I tried out as a forward until the coaches moved me to the blue line and I easily won a spot

7. I once went to a conditioning camp with the flu and passed out coming off the ice .... the paramedics were called ... perhaps the most embarassing moment of my life.

8. I have never been to a regular season NHL game.

9. The only NHL game I ever attended was an Oiler pre-season game back when it was still Northlands Coliseum. Despite being pre-season, we still had standing room seats

10. My favorite players growing up were Cam Neely, Craig Janney & Tomas Sandstrom (don't ask me why)

11. Favorite teams growing up (not surprisingly given #10) were the Kings, Oilers and Bruins

12. I would force my dad to spend hours throwing rolled up socks at me in the living room while I played goal in front of the patio door during HNIC

13. Despite never seeing him play, I usually wore #4 in honor of Bobby Orr. I also had 8,7,10 and for a brief period when we actually got jersey's with crazy numbers, 77

14. I played goalie for a grand total of about 15 minutes during a practice. I put the pads on for the practice and we did the usual skating drills, after which the coach asked me if I'd had enough to which I replied "yes" meaning that I wanted to actually see some pucks. He sent me to the dressing room to put my regular gear on

15. I was never in a fight that involved dropping the gloves ... any altercations were gloves on/cages on and in all but one case the other guy fell down after one punch.

16. Favorite goalie of all time .... Grant Fuhr

17. My gf is planning us a trip to Boston in the fall so we can both see our first real NHL game. She hopes to get a picture with Chara given that she's barely over 5 ft she thinks it will be hilarious

18. I cheered for the Lightning when they played the Flames in the SCF. Screw you Calgary!

19. I still hold out hope for the "Saskatoon Blues"

20. Despite all common sense I possess ... I still can't help thinking that my not shaving has in some way caused the Bruins recent skid. One more loss and the beard comes off!

1. I was in the attendance at the Bell Center when the habs retired Patrick Roy's jersey on november 22th 2008.

2. I don't, and will never understand people from Montreal who are rooting for other teams.

3. On a very windy day in the 80's near the old forum, I once caught Claude Lemieux's hat that flew in the air. He turned around and saw that 10 year old with his cap in hands..."You can keep it kid" he said.

4. I have a signed picture of me and Ryan Walter whom my grandmother knew pretty well, I just don't remember why she knew him exactly.

5. I have met Patrice Brisebois at a restaurant, shook hands with him. Whatever people say, I think he is a pretty classy guy.

6. I started playing hockey at 11, in the streets. My mom couldn't afford to send me into junior hockey. I started playing in an arena at 13 years old, in my uncle's "beer league".

7. I still have a Kellog's Corn Flakes cereal box with a big pictures of the Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup win in 1993 on the front of it. (only the box, not with the cereals )

8. I absolutely despise Don Cherry.

9. I play left wing, I was asked once to play center. I suck at faceoffs.

10. In my office there is a Sydney Crosby signed jersey from the winter classic last year. My boss bought in a silent charity auction.

11. I once suffered a broken hand playing roller-hockey. They had to use steel rods to fix my bones together and I was in a cast for 2 months.

12. My favorite player growing up was Russ Courtnall.

13. I always use players jersey numbers to remember phone numbers or pins.

14. Best game I saw live was a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins in the playoffs a few years ago, first round. Kovalev scored 2 goals, 1 to tie the game and the game winner.

15. No matter the hard times the Canadiens went through, I've always stayed behind them, through thick and thin. Even when Oleg Petrov was our best player...

16. I will never forgive Mario Tremblay and Rejean Houle for what they did to our team (like humiliating Patrick Roy for instance and throwing him away for nothing).

17. Jacques Demers used to be part of my family, he was married to my mother's cousin.

18. Every year I go to the habs training camp as often as I can.

19. When I was playing in my uncle's "beer league" they called me Wayne all the time, so one day they decided I was going to wear number 99 from that moment on.

20. I remember after school, I used to go to one of my friend's place. His dad always made a rink in the yard behind the house. We used to play until it was 9 or 10 p.m.Then I would go back home, do my homework while eating supper in a hurry, and then go to bed. No wonder why I was sleeping the whole morning in school.

4) I have met Todd Mclellan on several occasions.

5) My favourite players are Ron Francis and Sami Kapanen.

6) I grew up in the Same hometown as Mark Lamb (Current Dallas Stars offensive coach, and former Stanley Cup winner.) Cadillac, Saskatchewan. Pop. 100

7) I am a hockey equipment salesman and Coach.

8) I know Rhett Warreners grandmother, and she always puts his birthday in the local calender.

Posted 10:28 AM ET | Comments 4 A crazy night in Jersey, the kind of game where team chemistry is built, leaders emerge and heroes are born.

Taking the game in with Carlo Colaiacovo as he sit out yet another game was very difficult. Carlo is keeping a good attitude, but is very disappointed that he's not getting the chance to play for this team. He was the first guy jumping up and down and high-fiving me during each Leaf goal. Then during the shootout, the tension, the nervous squeeze of the arm, this guy cares about his team, and only wants to see the boys win, whether he plays or not.

The game was a memorable one indeed. It started with the Leafs falling behind early, then surging back unexpectedly against one of the best goalies in the world. Back and forth all night long, what an entertaining game to watch. Ron Wilson wasn't happy with five goals against, but the unexpected offense was a breath of fresh air, as was the three powperplay goals on the night. The lessons drilled into his team's head during practices are taking hold. Jason Blake, singled out during a recent team skate had a jump to his step all night long. Dominic Moore, Jamal Mayers and yes the much maligned Ryan Hollweg were all providing much needed spark throughout the game.

When Hagman scored to give the Leafs the lead in the shootout, albeit by blowing snow in Brodeur's face, Carlo and yours truly were chest thumping and hugging each other, we just KNEW the game was won at that point. Toskala comes up big on the final shot, joy all around.

A tough schedule to begin the season, and this Leaf team has proven it's naysayers wrong. No one could have expected 11 points in the first 10 games, but there it is. As I've been preaching to my readers since the pre-season began, expect big things from this Leaf team. They are building towards something and have a different attitude then previous Leaf teams of the last 3-4 seasons. Onward and upwards Leaf fans!

12) I was with my family in Italy when the Leafs signed Joseph in the summer of 97 - It was a pleasant surprise when I got back home

13) I grew up in a very European nieghborhood...The Italians were Leafs fans, and the Greeks were Habs fans.

14) I got to see only one game at the Gardens... LEafs vs. Habs... Leafs won 7-3

15) I skated at the Gardens once, and it's one of my fondest memories

16) I was in the standing room section at the ACC during a World Cup of Hockey match....It was one of the first times I heard loud and knowledgable hockey fans in the ACC

1. I met most of the Maple Leafs roster last year after their annual blue and white game in Oshawa Ontario.

2. I felt bad when everybody was calling players over to sign jerseys and stuff but Ben Ondrus just jumped in Ian White’s SUV and waited cause nobody wanted his signature.

3. I have seen 15 NHL games, 6 AHL, and countless OHL/WHL games (lived in Ontario growing up but live in Alberta now.)

4. I was at the 2003/2004 Game 6 on 5.19.2004 @ Calgary: San Jose 1, Calgary 3 (not a fan of either team but it was an amazing game)

5. My Uncle’s brother is Keith Crowder played for LA with Gretzky

6. When I met Antropov in real life I had a whole new respect for him, but he still sucks.

7. I have tried to love another team besides TML but can’t, it’s a curse.

8. I have only missed 3 TML games in 4 years ..PVR’s are a must for hockey fans

9. I have never had a favourite player until this year, Luuuuuuuuuuuke!

10. I believe if someone can bring the cup to Toronto it will be Burke and Wilson, but it will take at least 4 years to start competing.

11. I don’t believe that there is a “best player in the NHL” and that’s why hockey is the best sport on the face of the planet.

12. I do believe there is a MVP each year for the league and every team but he could play on the second or third line.

13. I wish and believe that the ACC could be the loudest building to play at

14. I still have the Coke Zero fans pre season game between Buffalo and Toronto on my PVR.

15. I make my American wife stand for the HNIC theme song.

16. I WILL cry if the Leafs win the Stanley Cup in my life time.

17. I know for a fact that Eklund has SOME great sources and I think I have seen him on HNIC about a year ago.

18. Is there really anything sexier than a hot girl in a Hockey Jersey........... I think not!

19. I think EA Sport is and will always the best hockey games

20. I believe most leaf fans act like abused children, getting mad at everyone, lashing out frequently, will beat up their brother but if someone else touching them they will freak, and will eventually have a victim mentality.

but can you really blame us?

21. Hi, I'm Jon and I'm addicted to rumor blogs

22. I have purchased a #10 leaf jersey with Schenn on the back and am going to the next Tiger's and White thins game to get Brayden Schenn to sign it. Burke will draft, no doubt in my mind

23. I went to high school with Lupul and Boumeester (Hat High while they played for the Tigers)

24. I told Mark Bell that if he fought and checked hard he would be a God in Toronto...... Obviously he didn't listened

25. I were I visor but no shoulder pads when I play hockey and I have a warrior one piece (sweetest stick ever)

26. I play in a league with a few ex-nhlers and lots of WHL and Euro pros...1 guy played like 2 games in the NHL and when your on the ice with him you would think he was Ovechkin. I can't imagine how good pro's are when your on the ice with them...
