I wish both Koivu and Kovalev are gone... And both are UFA anyway.

I just peaked at the standings, Montreal is 2-3 points away from being a non-playoff team again.

That's great...thanks for filling us in on your hockey past. Instead of writing about irrelevant topics (at least irrelevant in March) like the UFAs of July 1 and 20 things describing how you acquired the "Eklund" moniker, why don't you put some effort into recognizing a truly historic time in the NHL?

In the last 2 weeks, how could you not have mentioned Martin Brodeur's comeback and the chase to break Patrick Roy's wins record (and the shutout record) even once? Is it that you can't take off your homer philly hat and recognize that greatness is residing right up the Turnpike in The Rock?

Montreal's biggest game of the season (and it's not the All Star game) is tomorrow night and this comes from speaking with Montreal residents. The script has been written almost perfectly for Marty to tie a record that may never again be broken in his hometown with St. Patrick in the stands.

Give this legend his due and instead of writing about how much you love Sid the Kid, AO, and "Jay-Bo" dedicate some time to acknowledge what we are all about to witness. Whether is comes tomorrow night or next week, Martin Brodeur is earning the goaltender crown, and supposed hockey ambassadors like yourself should be giving this accomplishment its proper recognition.

Oh, yes... Well, as long as there are real changes over the summer, it's all good.

Maybe you can get Brian Burke, aka God, to be the new GM.

Or maybe Detroit's goaltending is just scary bad.
- AK3

I think Detroits downfall this year will be Ken Hollands reluctance to go out of his way to pick up a solid goaltender. I cant see the Wings coming out of the second round...the West right now is just ridicolous..
San Jose
Calgary
Chicago

Are better overall PLAYOFF teams than Detroit. Chicago will surprise alot of people Im predicting them to challenge for Conference title

He's saying the Canadiens are..

1)Over rated
2)Over hyped
3)Border-line playoff team

Last year was a flash in the pan...and bash me all you want but tell me one time that the Canadiens faced adversity last year?

This year they were under huge pressure and look how they crumbled. Not to mention i think next year will be worse because they're going to be looking for a huge rebound season from carey price....

if you could combine a loner, a person with a low self esteem and 0 hockey knowledge ....mix that in with a guy who twists everyones words around and never admits that hes wrong...then add a bottle of lotion with some porn on a friday night...u get Unholy Goalie

See, I agree with most of your post. But one thing remains, they are still in 5th place, and very much in the playoff race...

What are your thoughts on the Penguins?
