1. I first started skating when i was 5, and joined my first team when i was six.

2. I still have my first gloves and stick

3. The first game i ever wet to was a 1996 Devils preseason game against the Islanders. I was nine

4. The best game i've ever been to was game 5 of the 2000 Stanley Cup finals.... Dallas vs. New Jersey where Dallas won 1-0 in the 3rd OT. I've hated Modano and Hull ever since.

5. I made an exact replica of the Cup and brought it to that game --- proportioned and everything. the whole 9 yards!

6. I think that game of Belfour vs. Brodeur was the best goaltender dual of all time

7. The worst game i've ever been to was in 1996 when the Devils lost to the Senators on the last game of the season, eliminating them from the playoffs.

10. I started out as a forward then moved to goalie, then played defense for years before switching to center

11. I once faked getting stepped on at the Devils vs. Penguins playoff game (sometime in the late 90s) while waiting with a crowd outside of Gretzky's Luxury suite.

12. Security told Gretzky my made up story and he came out and met me, and signed my ticket

1. the greatest hockey game I have ever seen, in person at least, remains Calgary-Detroit Game 6 in 2004. The only possible way that can ever be topped is if I got to see Calgary win the Cup in person

2. The other game I went to that year was Calgary-San Jose Game 4, which ended up being one of the worst games I've ever seen in person...blah

3. I used to have a poster of Roman Turek up on my wall, for an absurd amount of time (for like months after Kiprusoff came from the Sharks and took the no. 1 spot)

4. My dad grew up playing hockey w/Bob Nystrom, and also taught brad ference (he was brad's favorite teacher)

5. The first hockey autograph I ever got was Denis Gauthier, he was sitting in the stands during a practice (he was hurt at the time)...I actually got his autograph twice lol

6. I have two CCM Flames jerseys (one a now-road jersey which was a home jersey at the time, one the red jersey) but don't have an RBK one yet...I still like the flaming horse shoulder patch

7. in August 05, Eklund convinced me that Scott Niedermayer was signing in Calgary...i was young and naive

8. i signed up here on a whim and somehow ended up with over 11,000 posts two years later

4. I had to skate laps for flipping off a parent from the opposing team during a peewee game because she was a beligerrant, obnoxious b!tch whose life was so empty she found happiness screaming at a bunch of 11 year olds playing a game.

5. I operated on Foppa's foot twice.

6. I couldnt get excited about college hockey if they were giving away hookers and coke instead of corny little flags at the games...(ok, maybe I would get excited)

7. Jeremy Roenick STILL hasnt returned my Snoop Dogg Cds.

8. Don Cherry wishes he had my fashion sense.

9. Sundin wasnt going to return to hockey, but I told him to invest all his money in Bank of America and Wachovia stock...and then he had to return to hockey. You're welcome, Canucks fans.

21. My dad used to work with George Laraques cousin. He got us ice level seats when the Oilers played the Rangers at the Garden and i got to meet him. He's the nicest person i've ever met.

I only read one of the 10 as it caught my eye. Obviously didn't happen

1. My first 2 hockey games I played goalie, which I got a shutout my first game, thus sealing the deal to becomes a goalie for my entire career.
2. Growing up in Detroit, Chris Osgood was my idol. In my first season, my team won a draft to skate with the Red Wings, where Ozzie and McCarty were putting me through a treacherous drill session. I even have a tape of me making a nasty glove save on McCarty..well, at least it was nasty at the time.
3. At age 7, I was 3rd on the team in penalty minutes, as a goaltender.
4. I once chased a kid down the ice trying to two hand him...no one skated through my crease.
5. At age 10, I played Pee Wee AAA for the Detroit Jr. Vipers, and our home ice was where the Detroit Vipers IHL team played. The coach's son was on our team...hot mom too I must say.
6. I have been to over 300 Red Wings games in my life, probably a good 200 of them over the past 4 years.
7. I saw Steve Yzerman score his 500th, and 600th goals. Gotta love the Captain.
8. I once caused my team to forfeit by joining in a bench clearing brawl. We had a short bench to begin with(10 guys), 7 were getting either tossed, or thrown in the box, and one guy had to serve my 2 for leaving the net, which would have left us with 2 players left, so we were forced to take the loss.
9. At the Kiwani's Midget Tourney in Quebec, I led the tournament in penalty minutes...yes still as a goalie.
10. Shawn Burr once told me and my buddy a story about having half of his thumb wedged in Mike Bossy's eye.
11. During 1 Wings game, sitting first row, I was struck with a puck twice, as a result of it finding its way through the net an the glass.
12. Switching to forward in beer leagues, there was a 2 month stretch where I had 5 separate occasions where I need to get stitches...3 of them being caused by my own teammates.
13. At age 15, at a tourney in Montreal, we somehow got into a bar, and got totally poopfaced the night before the semi's. Luckily, I wasn't playing in the semi's and got time to rest up before the ship...didn't help much though.
14. I once received a game misconduct for playing keep away from the ref after a questionable penalty call.
15. When I was 12 years old I played my first game in net in rollerhockey, only to face a one David Booth, who I stopped on a breakaway, only to have him get the rebound and score from the goal line...Bastard.
16. I've watched the movie Miracle probably a good 70 times, and I never get tired of it.
17. Gordie Howe used to participate in these benefits for my sister put on by the Warren Hockey Association. He used to show me this trick where he would take his finger off. Coulda sworn it was the real deal, he was a pro at it.
18. At age 3, the Detroit Falcons of the then Colonial Hockey Team held an intermission interview with my Family for my sister who needed to have a Heart and Lung Transplant(my Pops was a huge part of Warren Hockey at the time, which had the same home as the Falcons), I managed to rile the crowd up by sliding around on the ice like a mad man.
19. At this same game, I had Gordie Howe sign a Reggie White football card...I didn't have a Gordie card, and I already had about 13 other things autographed from him at the time.
20. I was at the Generals/Spitfires game where Tavares set the record for fastest to 50 goals, scoring 4 goals, and 3 assists in a 7-5 win. Saw him again at Sarnia, where they were blanked 2-0, but he was still a threat everytime he touched the puck.
