1. I've been playing hockey and skating since right after I started walking, basically about 39 years.

2. I spent the first 4 seasons of my early hockey life playing defense like Dad. Been playing Centre ever since.

3. In my first year of pee wee hockey our coach was a fanatic and we played 78 games in one year including one day when we played 3 games. My Dad hated that guy.

4. In my last year of Bantam, our team never lost a game all year in league play.

5. In my first year of Midget, our team never won a game all year in league play.

6. The first NHL'er to ever talk to me before I could even say hi to him was Mel Bridgmen. All I could think was his daughter standing next to him was scorching hot.

7. The first NHL autograph I got was from Steve Vickers.

8. The second came from Darryl Sittler.

9. When I was a kid we had seasons tickets to the Flames when the Saddledome first opened. I couldn't believe 20 thousand people could be that quiet.

10. My all time favorite Flame is Haken Loob, followed closely by Jerome.

11. My all time favorite player was Stevie Y.

12. I have golfed with Brendan Morrow, Jim McKenzie, Guy Carbonneau, Brooks Laich, and Jamie Heward.

13. I bought Rob Blakes L.A. Kings jersey at a charity auction and "then" Kings asst. coach Dave Tippet offered to take it back to L.A. and have it signed for me.
Rob Blake signed it with a personal note to me, also sent me a picture and and a game used puck.

14. I also have an autographed game used Scott Niedermayer stick and an autographed Bobby Orr print.

15. For some reason that I have yet figured out. I collect stuff from NHL defenceman even though I'm a forward and all my favorite players have been forwards.

16. My favorite kind of hockey is playing in iron man 3 on 3 tournaments.

17. By Saturday night of this week I will have played 6 games in the last 7 nights. My wife must love me. Pretty sure my kids don't know me. They think I play hockey for a living... and I let them.

18. My first date with my wife was to take her to the old Winnipeg Arena for a Jets/Flames game. I know Calgary won 3-2,... I think we've been married for 13 years.

19. I hated the Jets, especially Tkachuck. I still think they should be in Winnipeg though.

21. In midget we were playin a big rival in the playdowns and we had a pretty large contingent following our games on the road who were getting pretty animated with the rival crowd . Last game of the series in their barn our juvi team had a game so the couldnt come to ours so our fan base had shrunk significantly long story short we win the series and after the game 3 of my buddies got the hell beat out of them by there very classy fans .... by some F ed up miracle this hell hole town was a finalist for kraft hockeyville last year.

I had to write a newspaper article for a paper for one of my english classes decided to write an article telling woman why men love hockey so much by comparing it to the OC and how woman love that so much. Was very entertaining and difficult to write, comparing love connections in that to rivals in hockey.

Fact - birth rate went up during the lock out year at least in Canada .... I wonder why saturday nights free perhaps

2. When I lived in Collingwood Ont. The leafs came for a training camp and Sundin stopped 2 signing autographs 2 people down from me
