Had pappardelle alla pomodoro for dinner yesterday - the pasta was fresh and good but the sauce was cloyingly sweet and had pepper kick in at the end clumsily. They honestly could have just served it with butter and sage and it would have been 100x better.

Stupids.

That is fair, perhaps also a shot of the fresh bread with olive oil and crudite of two kinds of olives and fresh block parm.

I had 3 glasses of sauvingon blanc that kicked ass....

I lined it all up well... I just kind of hate sweet tomato sauce. My friend got a cracker-thin wood fired pizza - buffalo mozz, basil and fresh sliced artichoke hearts. That was much better.
