His goals yeah!
But.. Grabovski would have never done it in a Habs jersey. We never had the room for him and his attitude was not welcomed.
I said when he got traded. IT was a great pick up for a LEafs squad that can take risks. This kid is a pocket Datsuyk and the talent is really there.
- WaterBoy
Its scary what Grabs would of done with the talent on Montreal... he just recently started playing on the power play... but correct me I'm wrong but wasn't Montreal rebuilding up untill this year... so why could they take a chance on a player like him??
I agree with your previous statement. This club and fans are hyped into a situation. Looking from the outside gives the impression that they are simply not working hard and doing it right.

He didn't spend all 25 games on the 4th line. He spent a solid chunk on the 3rd line too. If a player is given a 25-game look (regardless of where he's playing), and doesn't impress enough to crack the top-3 lines, then yes, I'd say he was given a shot, deemed not good enough to displace one of the incumbents, and shipped out. - mcmanmat
So I guess Latendresse gets the extended Look ???

Admit it though, Grabovski's 10 goals would be okay considering what his Belarussian brother's are doing this year... - Deeps27
lol you've got a point
I'd still take Plekanec and Koivu over grabovsky to center lines 1-2.
Not sure if i'd prefer lang or grabovsky on the 3rd, lang brings a veteran presence and stability in the line up, he plays pp, pk, but is way slower than grabovsky... |

I think the Tenderness issue has been beaten to death. |

He gets the extended look because after being benched/scratched he still reports to the plane or rink. Also the fact that he's french canadian doesn't hurt either. |

That and the habs are loaded with smallish forwards...Tendresse is also what, 4 yrs younger... |

Maybe its because he accepts being a fourth liner and doesn't believe he can be better!!
The whole french thing is PR crap.... same reason we kept Domi and belfour... its an anchor and a curse!

I'll be a lot more impressed by Grabovski when he's not playing for a contract and performs. |

And by out of place do you mean he hasn't skated onto the ice wearing his home Jersey on the road?
Breezer has been fair to mediocre at best. - habby
Still better than Ryan O'Bourde

I hope we trade kovalev by deadline cuz i don't believe Gainey will give him a contract. I like kovalev on the habs but i hope we can trade or sign a younger forward instead IMO.

I disagree. O'Byrne make mistakes out of inexperience, Breezer out of lack of hockey sense.

I can honestly say that O'Byrne was directly responsible for at least one goal against every game he played this year.
I think neither of those two are a good option...but we don't have much choice now, do we?
O'Byrne will get better with experience, I just question if we can afford to have him get this experience this year... |

And the right to early negotiations with Sundin.... which incidentally may still come to fruition albeit after some wrestling with cap issues |

No, Montreal was given exclusive negotiating rights, and had they struck a deal, THEN some sort of undisclosed compensation would have gone to Toronto. Rumour has it that compensation was Grabovski, but nobody seems willing to admit it. Trading for him later for a 2nd rd pick makes it smell fishy too. |

I may be wrong on this, but I still believe that we would've had to give something back to the Leafs IF Sundin had signed with us. The Grabovski trade was something else completely apart from the Sundin story. |

I read (for what it's worth) that Fletcher wanted grabovsky if sundin would've signed.
Since it didn't work out, he managed to get him otherwise |
