No one is protesting???

If you've been paying attentions, there are a number of reasons that have contributed to the attendance problems this year.

-Location
-Parking lot
-Public Service pay system problems
-Redblacks competition for entertainment dollars
-Higher costs for second round
-people anticipating new Arena in 4 or 5 years

leaf fans seem to think it's a fair comparison, Ottawa/Gatineau Population 1.2 Million versus the GTA Population 6.5 Million ..........

Ottawa is a small market NHL City ...... While toronto is one the leagues largest markets ......... apples vs watermellons

- D0PPELGANGER

Wow you are loaded with crappy lame excuses

Also what you are saying is the basic definition of a protest.
I wont go to the game because of these reasons

I'll ask again.. why is it just this season its a problem? did the sens have problems drawing fans for previous playoffs?

and highly doubt Fans are thinking.. why go when I can go to a new stadium in 5 years

Have you ever been to a game in the CTC?

Didn't think so.

Take a look at the site plan, and compare it to other remotely located arenas.

The CTC is separated from it's parking lots, by the access roads to the parking lots, the access roads should be on the periphery of the parking lots, not between the CTC and the parking lots.

Have you ever been a fan of a team you didn't have to make countless excuses for?

Didn't think so.

For someone who is enjoying rubbing in a modicum of success, you sure are equipped with a lot of stupid excuses.

There aren't enough fans who give a poop about the Sens.

Location Location Location .......... just one of the reasons.

Biggest one for most people is the idiotically designed parking lot(s), which places traffic (entering and exiting) between the Arena and the parking lot(s) forcing pedestrians and traffic to cross paths before and after games ......... causing traffic and pedestrian Jams before and after games.

Now show me how long it would take for someone to get from just north of Steeles (say at Yonge, for arguments sake) to the Air Canada Centre. Longer than the trip from Ottawa to Kanata? Weird. The ACC is full most nights and a lot of people travel from outside the city to the games. Guess the parking is better.

He is an awesome player...

but there isn't somehow 20% more speed, goals, passes, checks, ability or anything like that that we haven't seen. The narrative from Sens fans is laughable. Most players are injured this time of year. He probably has a sore foot and various other aches and pains and he is probably getting painkillers and isn't much affected by it... just like everyone else.

The excuses are hilarious. They can't even scare up enough fans to fill a playoff home date.

Looks like Toronto fans will have to make the trip to help bail them out, again.

You cite a CFL team as a potential reason why people aren't attending the Senators playoff games? Are you serious?

Don't forget, that the "20 mins" on Google Maps assumes driving at the speed limit, and does not account for traffic ............ so during the evening rush hour, when most games are scheduled, you can pretty much double that time from Lebreton to the CTC.

There is no direct LRT or Subway from Lebreton to the CTC, as there is in toronto for the ACC......... so again you're comparing apples to watermelons.

From Ottawa South to the CTC, on OC transpo, it would take just over an hour and a half to get there.

http://plan.octranspo.com...ime&UseDefaultSites=false

My point is the location, and the related issues, does deter some people from going to games.

This will change once they relocate to Lebreton Flats.

You do realize that from most of the suburbs it'd take an hour and a half to get to the ACC by transit, right?

Do you think this level of fan apathy is the reason the original franchise folded?

I don't think any other NHL city has to contend for fans with a league as big as the CFL.

How are the Sens supposed to get anyone to their games with the CFL preseason a month away?

no wait, it isn't the Redblacks it is

-people anticipating new Arena in 4 or 5 years

I know for sure I would never go see my team in a playoff game this year if a new arena was going to be available in 4 or 5 years.

True! Why go through the ordeal of a 20-30 minute drive to watch your team play in the playoffs when they might have a fancy new area that will take the same amount of time for most people to get to, four years from now which will likely be a decade old by the time the team is in the playoffs again?

It's just bad money management.

why are the leaf fans so caught up in few empty seats in Ottawa .......... why are they not talking about the leafs?]

I heard they made a big signing yesterday, the Cup is now a lock for next year....... congrats.

By the way, I wonder how all the leaf fans feel, now that it is longer than 50 years since the leafs have been in the Stanley Cup Finals .................... longest current drought in the NHL.

Being able to draw fans contributes to which team is in a better situation.

If an already cheap owner doesn't feel like he's making money, how will that affect his spending going forward?

And why are you so obsessed with the Leafs 13 cup wins? Are you insecure about your team's 0 wins?
