dopps is the most one putting importance on a single goal.

NAWWW, an OT winner that sends your team to the Memorial Cup Finals is totally meaningless.

Prediction, Lazar gets sent back to Junior.

NO, he wasn't..............it was a meaningless goal by a passenger, as you say.

As much as you might covet an "all star" spot after a tournament or playoffs, I'm pretty sure anyone who participates in a tournament or playoffs, have their eyes firmly set on winning the Championship.

Perhaps you should ask those who were selected to the 2014 Memorial Cup all star team, who did not play for the Oil Kings if they would rather win the Memorial Cup, of are happier with their selection to the all star team??

I'm sure they would.

It's a statement about who played the most important roles on the team. i.e. LAzar was third/fourth fiddle on that team.

Catch up, big guy.

your stupidity knows absolutely no limits. he was the 3rd leading scorer in a 4-5 game tournament, so that makes him 3rd or 4th fiddle on the entire team? you ignore the fact that he was the captain, as well as 2nd leading scorer (1st in goals) for the actual season, despite missing significant time due to playing in the world jrs. want to talk about 4th, or perhaps more appropriately, 18th fidde on his team....lets talk about nylander. didn't even make the world jr team, and had virtually no points on his swedish team.

it makes me laugh every day how absolutely obsessed you are with the sens.............keep it up. every time i think of your obsession with the sens, all i can picture is this.

- sensarmy_11

Nylander was 2 ppg in the world juniors, and did better in the SHL than pretty much any NHLer has at that age.

nylander didn't make the swedish world jr team.....he played in the under 18 tournament. so he dominated against 16 and 17 year olds........WOW!!

and unlike Lazar, he's also been PPG vs veteran players.

PS- what was Lazar doing at the same age?

wow, 19pts against what essentially boils down to teh ECHL of Sweden, which is probably 4 levels lower than the actual ECHL.

OMG, so incredible.

nylanders stats > at the same stage. Nylander didn't play in u20 as a 17 year old, and nor did lazar. Lazar didn't play u18, nylander did and dominated.

how do you figure? lazar's stats in the WHL are significantly better than nylander's stats in Tier 2 SHL (which is where he played a majority of his time)...and in his 22 games in the actual tier 1 league, he had 7 pts.

he'll be a good player, but he hasn't shown any more potential than lazar.

How can you compare the two league? How do you know that those stats in the who are significantly better? You don't.

But we do know that when they played internationally nylander > stats are better.

more like swedish AHL... which means the competition is a lot harder than CHL. Since he's playing against, you know, adults, not the 16/17 year olds you derided a couple of posts back.

Nylander didn't even make the u20 team as a 17 year old!!! (Ignore the fact lazar didn't make the u20 team as a 17 year old either)

Omg nylander dominated 16/17 year olds (ignoring that he was 17 and lazar didn't play in the tournament when he was th same age)

Point proven. You overrate this chump so badly. Couldn't even break top 20 in WHL scoring.

Great third line prospect you got there. Bolland is the perfect comparison.

i would actually say the tier 1 SEL is comparable to the AHL, which means the tier 2 would be the ECHL.

either way, it's difficult to compare leagues. but prock dismissing lazar, while claiming that nylander is the next coming wayne gretzky seems pretty ridiculous.

however you call it, he played 22 games with the big club (which is comparable in level to hte AHL) and the rest of hte season with the lower tier club, which is probably comparable to the ECHL

False.

And even if you believe that how is it better to dominate 16/17 year olds in the whl rather than take a regular shift at 17 in a pro league? To me the 17 year old playing in a men's league and playing regularly and producing is a step up from a 19 year old playing against teenagers.

you do realize that a majority of hte players in the WHL are 18/19/20 right, not 16/17.

there are probably more NHL drafted players in the WHL then there are in tier 1 SEL.

what's the difference between playing against a 19/20 year old kid who's good enough to get drafted in the NHL vs playing against a 27 year old who was never good enough to even get a sniff. does being 7 years older, but less talented make it a harder league to play in?

magnus paarjavi had better stats in the SEL than nylander..........crushes him. so i guess nylander is headed for 4th line/AHL duties.
