(frank)ing getting tased is no joke, hard to describe other than all your (frank)ing muscle get a cramp at the same time

I was tazed during a police community awareness event, the missus volunteered me, about 8 of us got tased, although they didnt use the (frank) hook projectiles, just alligator clips on a thing like they use for ekgs


always amused at those balth salts guys it doesnt effect




fun fact, in order to be certified to use a taser you have to get tased atleast locally around these parts

Phillies Add Bowa, Mackanin to Coaching Staff

Former Phillies Larry Bowa and Pete Mackanin have joined the team's coaching staff, Manager Ryne Sandberg announced today. Additionally, Steve Henderson will return as hitting coach while Wally Joyner has declined to return as assistant hitting coach.

Bowa, 67, will serve as the bench coach. It will be his second stint as a Phillies coach and his fourth tenure with the club, overall. Bowa played for the Phillies for 12 years (1970-81), was the third base coach for nine years (1988-96) and spent four seasons (2001-04) as the manager. He has also coached for the Anaheim Angels (1997-99), Seattle Mariners (2000), New York Yankees (2006-07) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2008-10) and spent a season and a half (1987-88) managing the San Diego Padres. Over the past three years, Bowa has been an in-studio analyst for MLB Network.

Mackanin, who is returning as the third base coach, spent four years (2009-12) as Phillies bench coach under former manager Charlie Manuel. He worked this past season as a pro scout for the Yankees, a post he previously held in 2008. The 62-year-old has also coached for the Montreal Expos (1997-2000) and Pittsburgh Pirates (2003-05), in addition to serving as interim manager for both the Cincinnati Reds (2007) and Pirates (2005). During his major league playing career, Mackanin appeared in 18 games with the Phillies over the 1978-79 seasons.

Henderson, 60, will return for his second season as hitting coach. The statuses of bullpen coach Rod Nichols and first/third base coach Juan Samuel have yet to be determined as both are under consideration for the 2014 staff. Nichols, 48, completed his first season on the Phillies major league staff while Samuel, 52, has been a coach with the club for the last three years (2011-13).

i heard ricky ricardo on the radio break into his show about shano-o's blast.

good for shane. always liked him. not real crazy about the sawx, but the grand slam couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
