tough choice but i have to go abrams. vaughan is definitely a polished hitter right now. his problem is he is strictly a 1st baseman and can't play anywhere else. abrams has asuperstar ceiling and is a terrific athlete. definitely a longer term prospect cause he needs to refine is his plate work and needs to adjust to tougher competition.

vaughan also has to fight some bad history juju. only 4 RH throwing 1st basemen that were sub 6 feet have played more than 20 games in MLB since 1947.

in conclusion, i personally couldn't bring myself to take a 1st basemen with the #3 in the draft. abrams seems to be the choice at this time.

the orioles are idiots and would deserve to spend the next ten years in the cellar if they pass on rutschman. i was listening to the local sports barf show and they had o't toole, former rockies gm, on and he was saying he couldn't think of a comp for rutschman. a switch-hitter power hitting catcher with plus defense rn.

welp, hopefully vaughan can (frank)ing hit. this also means the sox don't have to marry themselves to the impending decline years of Abreu which i completely expected them to do.

Of course, Collins/Burger/Sheets are all pretty much castoffs now...unless Collins can find a way to stick behind the plate.

Known Jew, Gabe Krapler, has a team with an average lineup, below average rotation and 5 injured bullpen arms sitting 10 games over .500
