Who will be the first intelligent league to stop letting fans choose the starting lineups?

According to a report from David Lennon of Newsday, Major League Baseball and the league’s players union will be discussing the possibility of shortening the current 162-game regular season format. While it appears that the initial talks will surround an eight-game reduction to 154 games, the two sides will presumably come to an agreement sometime in the near future as the current collective bargaining agreement will expire in December.

It is also worth noting that Lennon provided an alternative solution of a two or four-game reduction if the sides are unable to compromise on the aforementioned eight-game change.

I'm sure I'll get excited for football when the time comes, but both baseball and football are far behind hockey and basketball right now. It sucks that nothing coincides with baseball from Jewly to late August

i'm pretty much hockey, then football, and baseball when they're good.

i am surprised that i haven't watched any of the phils this season. i usually at least put the games on the tube from time to time even when they're bad (which is the majority of my childhood and adult lifetime).

I find myself watching less of them because I hate the broadcasters. They make me cringe and uncomfortable.

I will put the games on mute when I do work (fux wit hockeybuzz)

I think I just miss Harry.

The radio guys are really (frank)ing good though. On my way home from class, I'll listen to the Phillies lose 8-0 with those guys.
