I am not a huge fan of Tanev but him and Myers buys time. DPetey and Willander are players of the future. Trade Hronek draft a RHD and home grow another future player.

Tanev makes 4.5 played the first 2 seasons injury free for the Flames. He missed 17 games last year and 7 this year. That’s about 5 games per year. He’ll get better offers than the 2.5

I was going to say the Flames can afford to pay him 4 just to bring him back. Myers may sign for 4 but I think another team might offer more and a longer term. He’s really upped his value in his contract year.
