I’m actually (if I have to choose) pulling for Canucks over Oilers. I don’t hate the team at all. I hate that Canucks fans are arrogant when the team has won poop all - and they cry a bunch about Leafs and refs. Just irritating. Frankly I was on here for years without ever stopping by this board. I only did cause the Canucks fanbase obsession with the Leafs and trolling their fans was just too unreal and I felt like chirping back.

That’s cause in Canada everyone knows there are only 2 teams that matter here. Leafs/Habs

I’m old enough to remember the original 6 lol, I cheered for whoever was playing against the leafs and Habs.

Well that explains the continued stupidity - but what was the prompt? As I said it was going for years prior.

No need to respond with words, I'm starting to speak Cancuck and get the emoji/gif language...still unclear about all the NFP or NFU whatever that homoerotic hillbilly posts - but the emojis'gifs I'm into it.

In any case....I think your coach is right and I like how he spoke through media a bit:

(paraphrase)
Can't give them (Oilers) 4,5,6 PP's cause that's how they thrive. Hope we are allowed to just play (shot at refs vs LA).

Every coach and player knows what that team is eh - and that it just seems refs give them and McJesus a PP when they need one at important times in game.

Good Luck vs the Edmonton McPower Plays...and with that creeper lord hummer - hes been running around saying how its gonna huge or yuge I suppose. Hes getting everyone jacked up and calling for Oilers fans to get on this board. This is maybe the biggest of his life...hes busting man....biggest aside from the day his dad showed him how to tip cows (at that time for practice it was Tipping Meemaw).

Lots of emotion in Canucks' room post-game, especially from players who lived through the chaos because they believed in the team.

J.T. Miller: "Not any part of me ever wanted to go somewhere else. Why would I want to leave something that I've always been looking for?"

Fighting through refs is part of being a Canuck, need your goalie to be your best player on the kill.

I don't think Petey got any points against the Oilers in the second to last game. He has been on a hell of a slump even before the playoffs. I am not sure exactly but I think I heard the announcer say something like EP has one goal in his last 15 games.

Finding wingers for him is going to be a big issue next year. Let's see how this summer shapes up and hope that Likker is the real deal ready to step in.

I’m back after my self imposed exile. Basically needed a break from of few ppl in here.

1st up I don’t buy into it’s wingers when paid 10.5m then into 11.6m. Petey is in a long horrible funk for sure but a C runs his own line & talks to linemates in & out of the game. Puck support hasn’t been there for him & his forced passes only makes it worse. Not moving his feet is starts it all off. He hasn’t been dangerous on the PP for a long time as well. If he can’t drive his line then I’d put him on Lindholm wing & reset.

Suter Miller Boeser no reason to change.
Hog Lindholm EP now that EL is clicking
Joshua Bleuger Garland reunited
DiGi Lafferty Miky energy line

Miller line shutdown against McD
Lindholm line against Draisaitl
Bleuger line reunited
Miky stone hands on the energy line

PP not liking the zone entries & forced passes. PO PK’s clog the shooting lanes & both has shown how hard scoring has been let alone even getting set up.

Miller Lindholm Boeser
Garland Hughes

Garland zone entries
Miller roving once set up
Lindholm in the bumper
Hughes does what he does
Boeser finds soft spots net front with Lindholm & create passing lanes feeding off of Miller & Hughes. Back door, tips & rebounds & one timers from the left side &/or bumper.

Petey should see more time & space against the Oilers if he’s aggressive & not pull up when gaining the blueline. D forces pressure & wedges the puck into turnovers & transition. No puck support then have to get it in deep dump & chase. Playoff hockey.

Lord Stanley’s Cup. He also donated land aka Stanley Park in Vancouver.

Hockey has maybe more roots in Vancouver than anywhere.

I agree if you are an eleven mil player you need to be the straw that stirs the drink and not the salted rim. I will let others respond instead of me seeing I have already beaten this to death and people like Lefty think I hate Petey.

It was the Pacific Coast Hockey League - not the NHL….No Stanley Cup as part of the NHL.

No Cup Ever. No Cup Never.

- Big23Questions

PCHA not PCHL kiddo

It’s the Stanley Cup the oldest cup in North America. It’s where it all began the NHL only assumed it later on. You’re too young to understand history & the roots of the game rules. Stay in school.

You are correct, but it was still "the Stanley Cup" and the word Vancouver is on it. That's all I'm saying. But you can argue until your blue in the face. Your hatred of the Canucks is very similar to our hatred of the Leafs, which is funny because you chastised us for it....but you're truly the same.

Best comeback is how many 4th rounds have the Leafs been in?

Every 13 years a ring is removed from the Cup, the next time that happens is in 2030. When that ring is removed, the name "Toronto Maple Leafs" will be forever removed from the Stanley Cup. There will be no mention of them on there.

Arrogant maybe some fans are. I’m a long time diehard fan & other things bother me much more than those fans.

As for Leafs there is more than just the fans that irritate us out here & in other provinces. Like someone said it’s Leafs headlining sports networks no matter how good or bad there were or are. Hockey doesn’t revolve around Toronto like the media portrays it. Nobody can argue Leafers passion & large following. It’s the bias when there are 6 other teams who take a back seat far too often.

I was a wings fan. Mr Hockey got me idolizing him then onto Orr not the Bruins. Back then my real team was the WHL Canucks who were dominant in 1968 & 69 before finally in the NHL in 1970. Both the Leafs & Habs owners wouldn’t share the HNIC Saturday night pie. That is what put a tiger in my tank & began my hate for Ballard & all things Leaf.

Oh my goodness! Did I put League rather than Association? Well that makes the point that it was in 1915 and NOT the NHL irrelevant.

...this will now trigger a classic 11 posts per page by you huh?

You are old enough to remember the PCHA Championship in 1915? That's the 'roots' of hockey? In all seriousness son - you are probably the least knowledgeable poster in this board from my point of view. You know so little about the game. You make comments that are ridiculous about the game you are apparently watching. I respect your passion for the game - but you were Single A at best playing eh bud

My favourite part:"...the roots of the games rules" - Classic! That make s no sense in the context of what we were discussing. Were there highlights on of a hockey game? Trying to figure out what was going on?...The guys with the big pads are called goalies.

I'm done with you duster

They ran the league, a wise old montrealer that lived out here told me that way back then.
