I just don’t get not being behind this team at this point
- neem55

I'm fully behind the team, just not surprised the Oilers are the betting favourite. Canucks in 4 would be sweet.

You've got to be kidding. Playoffs are about winning not who dominates. We played the style we needed to play to win the series. I'm going out on a limb and gonna say they'll make changes against the Oilers because their strengths and weaknesses are different than the Preds. But to discredit the win against a very hot team for the reasons your giving is nitpicking IMHO.

I provided the stats that shows we beat a team that was right up there with the league's best down the stretch. You can ignore it, but it's a fact.

Edit: Thanks Nighty

We're talking about odds, and oddsmakers take into account the fact that the Oilers dominated their matchup against the Kings where we struggled and had a much harder series against Nashville. If we win game 1, then the oddsmakers will swing in our favor for game 2. Do I think we're better than the Oilers? Sure, standings and games played against them say so, but to ignore that we beat Nashville mostly because of luck, timely goals in the late stages of the 3rd period and amazing goaltending from a rookie goaltender that wasn't even scheduled to be the backup until after Demko got hurt after Game 1? That's also facts.

Sounds like playoff Hockey to me. They faced a decent amount of adversity and overcame it. Saros had himself an amazing series as well. I doubt Skinner will be able to play to that level. The question to me is will Silovs be able to maintain his level of play.

You are misinformed.

Copied directly from The Tennessean.
"Since Feb. 1, Nashville ranks second in the NHL in goals per game (3.71), second in shots per game (34.4), and second in power play success (27.2%)."

They went 20-7-3 in their last 30. It's not like we just beat a team of hacks. They were firing on all cylinders until we shut them down.

- Load Management

Actually correct. On Hockey Central today they actually talked about how Nashville was right there with EDM over the last 20 games of the season or so. We beat a pretty good team in NSH just because it wasn't high scoring folks get confused.

Plus no one has mentioned the fact that the Oilers have 20...yes 20 Canadians on their roster and the Canucks have 3. But really...not a big deal lol

Wouldn't be shocked lol. What, does Lefty need 10 accounts to get his bullish!t across...

Fucking Engineers I tell ya. Spent all that cash on an 'education' when a 5 dollar library card would perform the same tricks.

Anyone can get a degree from Bullwinkle U. I work with engineers all of the time. Stuff makes sense to them but they don’t do my work. That’s what eludes them regularly. I spent time in the field then school not the other way around. I had the prerequisites to get nearly any degree in engineering. More money in trades made my mind up easily.

I’m probably more pleased with Vegas and their cap manipulating ways getting bounced than the leaves.
