High-end talent is always worth taking a shot on imo. If you're getting PLD for free and for $4m per year I think it would be worth it

Played 4th line duties in the playoffs....

I know this line of thought is contested. I don't mind role players on a year or two deal. But I want impact players on long term (2+) years. So the centers I posted above I'd want for Lindy's entire contract.

I also made known my desired role players, which are all going to have interest from a number of teams. I don't care if they're on 2-3 year deals, they're known commodities and they do their jobs.

Wouldn't it really be $8.75M per for the next 3 seasons because you'd be retaining 50% on Skinner for that time?

Because the 11th OA pick is worth those players, as you can see from recent history.

They're all similar impact but have the added value of term.

And they're centers. So if anything, 11OA doesn't cover it.

Logically, I don't think 11 for a 3C makes any sense for them, especially with limited term and no team control. Need KA to do better than that, if he opts to trade the pick.

I get taking a shot and change of scenery, but 7 more years is more than just a shot.

I'd rather buy out Skinner and start somewhat fresh than try some kind of toxic swap.
