the laffs seem slightly hungrier so far compared to the booins, it's kinda weird.

The Bruins, overall, are playing horribly imho.

they definitely don't look as confident, they've been handling things rather well in the past couple of years but losing those key players is starting to show.

may they start a long and painful decline to the bottom.

I prefer to think the Leafs have a better offense, the Bruins have lost a lot of punch with Bergeron retiring.

As much as I despise those prima donnas ... gotta give credit to the Leafs, they finally decided to put in the work for their ridiculous contracts. I guess the media/fan outrage got to them in their country club.

They're also much more mindful of their defensive play which is usually a foreign concept to them.

Only one year left on his contract.

Needs to stay healthy to get another 90+ points in the regular season and secure another big payday.

could be, but it's easy for us to say, we don't know that for sure.

I know the general consensus for non-laffs fans is that the team lacks heart and a willingness to win but I tend to think it's all about how the team has been built and how the salary cap was distributed, not necessarily the players themselves. EDM is a good example of this, McDavid and Draisaitl definitely want to win but without a goalie and a good defense core it's hard to win in the post-season.

if players from the laffs' "core four" ever end up somewhere else on a more balanced team they'll probably have a much better chance of being successful.

I can't argue with any of that ... those 2 teams (TOR & EDM) have been poorly built from the start.

They both have great assets (ie. McJesus & Matthews) but they neglected to pay attention to their back end. Took a long time but, unless I'm mistaken, it seems they're finally catching on.
