I think Florida destroys either team that makes it through. Boston pissing away games and will have no rest, same with the Leafs going down early in the series. A well rested Florida team is a scary thing. - Rangers99
Agreed. I guess we'll be cheering for whichever team wins gm 7 to take florida to at least 6 or 7 games to wear them down a bit

Absolutely agree. I think it's a combination of feeling bad for my Leaf fan friends at this point and hating Marchand more than is reasonable.

lol the change in my Leaf fan buddies from before game 5 to now is night and day.

totally.
I have to believe it's mostly because they actually played pretty decent games back to back. Last night was the best overall playoff performance I can remember for them in God knows how long. Maybe since '93.
The Leafs have needed guys like Knies and Benoit for decades now!
totally.

Montgomery called out Pasta last night after the game, see how he responds tomorrow.
If bruins lose Saturday they'd be the first team in the big 4 leagues to blow consecutive 3-1 series leads in back to back years - t-dawg
That's exactly why you gotta fire him. Gallant blew back to back 2-0 series leads and a good portion of us wanted him fired. I'd beyond rage filled crazy if it was back to back 3-1 series leads.
It is weird on an astronomical scale that I am actually cheering for the Leafs. - Tonybere
Me too. Don’t have nearly the same hatred for the Leafs that I do for the Bruins. There’s never been much of a rivalry there which is a little unfortunate actually.

Reeks of desperation. They did this a couple of years back. Small city hockey team. If they sold out all their games they wouldn’t have to worry. Bush league - Michael NC
They've sold out 61 consecutive home games now.
We're just saying anything on this website, huh?
Also the team confirmed they did this against the Isles this year AND against the Devils last year and nobody gave a poop. It only ever becomes a story when it's the Rangers.

Hate us casue you ain't us.
Honestly, if you a NY fan living in NY, who gives a poop? Those people weren't gonna go anyway.
You could do a mini vacation to see the Hurricanes for far less money than a trip to MSG I am betting though. - JRR1285
I've heard of people doing this a LOT.
I talked to a guy at a Blue Jays game a few years ago that told me he has season's tickets for the Yankees and he basically pays for them by selling all the tickets against the Red Sox, Mets and other big draw teams. He flew to Toronto and got seats for about the same as the price of his seats.
...that ain't gonna work anymore, now that Rogers has spent over $400M on renovations. Too bad they won't (frank)ing win anything.

I don’t think I’ve ever shared this here before, but he’s my neighbor here in Boston. I know a lot of people dislike the hockey player, but I can’t say enough positives about the guy off the ice. Always willing to talk when we see one another, he paid to have our window flower boxes done last summer out of the blue, he’s extremely involved with his family. It’s been awesome and completely changed my perception of him!
