If Big Cat, Sorokin, Shesterkin, Askarov, Kochetkov and Samsonov are any indication, it seems like doing well in the KHL is pretty (immediately) translatable to the NHL.

Even a dude like Tarasov, who wasn't that special in the KHL, is still doing alright in NA.

I think anyone not named Owen Tippet can be traded.

I hope we see Michkov.

I saw a post or comment that said Bonk can't get here soon enough, and another just wait till Michkov and Bonk arrive.

I don't know who will be in the line up when we win the Cup but Coots will be our 3c and the 4th line will be Hathaway, Laughton, and Poehling.

A smart Gm would,

Trade TK either at the draft or early in season to avoid an injury situation.

Trade Sanheim and Calgary would be a good spot and Winnipeg as the back up.

Trade Laughton most likely a TDL move to a contender.

Explore trades on any player not named Frost, York, Farabee, Drysdale, Cates, Foerster, Tippett. These players would be the ones i build my team around maybe add vets on 1 year contracts to flip at the TDL.

Also i would check to see what the cost would be to move up in the draft for one of the elite 4 defensemen available.

Tippet is not an untouchable in my opinion.

Bonk is putting up monster points. But he is doing so in a role he will never sniff in the NHL. I see him as a solid 2nd pair guy who can contribute some offense but be primarily a defensive shut down player.

why not shopping them? everyone should be shopped so to speak to see what a GM may do.

Calgary and Winnipeg would have interest in Sanheim since they have trouble attracting and keeping players. Flyers should move him since he is usually crap every other season.

TK gets a 1st rd pick and “B” prospect. Laughton a late first. Rumor was Ottawa was very interested around the deadline in Laughton for vet leadership.

I wonder if Tkachuk is made available does a Laughton and a willing to extend Konecny and Bonk get it done with Ottawa adding something else like a 2nd or decent middle of the lineup prospect.

seems to be a decent amount of smoke going back a few months for zegras. Not sure why ducks would want TK unless they plan on making a quite a moves to take several steps forward.
