We’re all hoping the team reads our nonsense so they step up their game.
They don’t.
But we hope lol 😂 |

I do not dislike Marner. I am a Knight fan. Someone has to go so we can get a serious top 2 D and tender. When Willy was making 6.9 I thought it was Mitch. Now I do not know since Willy surprised me a bit at 11.5, and I have no idea what Mitch will hold out for. I said last year we should save our assets for 2025 when we could sort out or top 4 forwards and was ridiculed so what do I know. - jribout
So you only like one? Marner? Domi? JT?
Cowan can’t wait I bet |

So why do you hate the Knights? Marner was a London Knight.

I was happy with the Domi signing and his play so far. I like JT and was happy we signed him. That contract with the cap freeze has kinda hurt though. My new favourite is Sam O'Reilly. Not sure he makes the NHL but he is likely a 3rd round pick, maybe sneaks into 2nd. Obviously Cowan. Richardenson should be a stud.

Like Domi too, especially if he will resign for the same amount… JT has one more year and he’ll resign cheap as hell I’m willing to bet… Marner will cost a fortune tho… he will expect to be around what Matthews gets.
Cowan is obviously sweet, as for the other two… that’s too much guessing for me to make so I’ll just roll with what you’re saying. |

I hope so on JT, but who knows. I agree on Marner, but you never know. We do need a true #1 tendy but not sure how many are around anymore that you can count on year in year out. The fact Varlamov is starting for the Islanders is scary.

Yeah kinda sucks that Warren sold them off and now works for Edmonton but at least papa (grandpa) and I got to do it. My papa never expected a damn thing either. He bought us regular tickets and we went down to catch a game. His brother my great uncle, Warren’s dad was shocked to see us and immediately called Warren who came down, took our tickets, gave us poop and immediately put us in the owners box where I got to drink beer and eat for free since it was my papa who did the driving that afternoon
A couple days later I made sure to pop by with a case as a gift to my papa for that |

Apparently Helleybuck sucks too. Because it is well documented you just cannot let in 5. NO MATTER WHAT. - jribout
All great goalies on other teams let in 2 or less every game. Never any more. |

JT won’t want to leave Toronto… he’ll sign for practically anything he’s offered, I’m pretty much 95% sure on that. As for Marner he will want more than Nylander because that would only be a $600K raise for him. He’ll simply want waaaaay too much for a winger. So I’m hoping that Tre will simply tell him to F off and he’ll be sat non stop til he agrees on getting traded. |

I never pursued my law career. Was even dumb enough to forgo potential opportunity with a big agency. I had another job offer I liked and NHL was going on strike.

Yeah that is cool. I miss the days of having access to box seats to anything I wanted anywhere in Canada.

Well if I got out to Edmonton I have an aunt living there for a place to crash at and Warren is working as a scout for the oilers now… willing to bet I could get some pretty decent seats there still |

I agree with you on JT. I think since he's settled with young kids and the rest of his family is Toronto/GTA ish then he will sign for whatever.
However, that's on the condition he admits to himself he's not what he once was and is like a high end 3C to lower/mid tier 2. If he wants to chase a 2C on a team he can make some serious coin for likely 3 - 5 years.
I think if I were Toronto I'd offer like 5 million/3 years.

From the athletic
Nylander looked to be laboring, especially early in the session, and misfired entirely on a couple of shot attempts while the ice sheet was still freshly resurfaced. He wasn’t moving with his normal fluidity and frequently hunched over while regrouping along the boards between drills. He had Giordano feed him passes to practice one-timers and went through a series of puck-touch drills under the supervision of assistant coaches Manny Malhotra and Dean Chynoweth.

Ummm so the Canucks pre game intro thingy (I do love U2 as walk out music though but the Habs did it first - a long time ago) but the kid in Canucks jersey skates to centre ice with a stick and a white towel on the stick and raises it.
The universal sign of surrender.
What marketing genius thought that one up?
Lmfao - Cush29
It is the universal sign of surrender, indeed...
ESPN PbP guy said it commemorates Roger Neilson putting a white towel on a stick and waving it at the refs during a game vs MTL (I think he said MTL), apparently the next game the Vancouver fans all brought white towels to wave. |
