True.
Leafs window closing before our eyes.
Wait til your boy Marner signs his next deal, game over for this blue and white. - underhill14
According to some, the cap will be a billion dollars, so all good. |

Not if they can find a way to ship Willy out.
Truth is, you gotta be a big, fast, tough, AND skilled team.
Dubas constructed the team wrong, and they’re now trying to do quick repairs. I love the Domi addition tho. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Love Domi and Bert.
Loved Schenn, RoR, Acciari, Lafferty....the list goes on.
Problem is Keefe is still coaching Dubas' poop. Until he goes, nothing changes.
Don't get me started on goalie choices and management that's still hiding behind the curtain.

It all leads back to Shanny.
He’s the one who insists on keeping that core. |

That’s something I’ve often wondered about - what’s the set up and order in that organization?
Was it Dubas that kept running back the core or Shanny stepping in?
How much does Shanny input on player movement in/out.
Would be interesting to know. We will never truly know. |

Problem is they are stuck with this core whether they like it or not. Marner would be the one to move but he has a full NMC. Tavares contract isn't really movable at this point. Gotta wait his contract out and then they'll probably re-sign him on the cheap. Matthews is obviously untouchable and they just signed Nylander for 8 years |

I don't agree. They can and most likely will do something significant with this core if what we saw in game 1 continues. |

Big question coming out of game 1 for the Leafs: Anyone else "feel something on their day off" and is questionable for game 2? |

Did Tavares play tonight?
Take the C and the A's. Fire the coach. Tell the team to figure it out.
Pick their own line up, pick their own style of play....all decisions on the players.
Otherwise, 4-0 or maybe if lucky 4-1 Bruins. (If i was being really frisky, I would go 4-2 but who fuking cares...1st round exit)
Leafs really will be the Laffs. The trolling will be relentless and the truth is it will be undeniable and warranted.
ZZ will have to start drinking a different color Kool-Aid. It will be a really sad day. - underhill14
Not sure why the trolling would be relentless when the Leafs entered the series as the underdog...
Oh right...Leafs. |

No one trolls the Leafs better or harder than Leaf fans. There’s nothing to worry about from outsiders. |

Would be better if they could come in with something fresh and creative, but nope, same ol’ boring drivel. Come to think of it, Leaf fans aren’t much better. |

Ok, I’m a little obsessed about it. No predictions from you, and I’ll do the same.
Let’s try it for one game. Deal? |

The 5v5 game went pretty much perfect for Bawston.
Coyle line plus Lindholm and Carlo were able to limit 34 most of the night. Pasta's line kept JT and Marner busy ..basically cancelled each other out. Bottom 6 groups were pretty even too.
Bruins keep things even (or better) at 5v5 and then win the special teams. It's a good plan against the Leafs.
The general flow was pretty even but Bawston doesn't make mistakes. Leafs can't take dumb penalties and can't make decisions like Reaves/Eddie on that first goal.
