The problem isn't the grit, it's the systems KEefe and Dubas set in place for fancy hockey that doesn't work. Now none of these softees know how to play a rough game.
Also, besides the grit or not, every fuking player on this team tries to feed the puck to one of the Core 4 when they're on the ice that is what makes the Leafs are too predictable.
The last 10 games it was a game for Matthews to score. Everyone passed to him or tried really hard. Turnover or not. Get it to the "good guys" let them score and pad their stats.
This team is never a team. It's a bunch of "show me" guys trying to feed the regular season stats crew Core 4 and nothing else.
Keefe can't coach this team. Period.
A coach that doesn't give a flying fuk about their personal stats or whinning is who should be behind the bench.
A fuking coach that knows how to coach a "team" not a player's stats and kinda has a clue when to call of fuking time out....that's the coach I want.
They are great players on this team. This is not a great team. Maybe we should all stop pretending.

To be fair, this roster is constructed kind of poorly to years past and Keefe has been subtly female doging all season about being unhappy with lack of talent throughout the roster.
But like I said, good coaches can squeeze blood from a stone. |

How actually (frank)ing stupid does someone have to be to think the GM who just gave him almost 100 million dollars has determined he will sit.

Robertson is a tough one. He is WAY to small for playoff hockey, but he has an absolute rocket and provides some depth scoring. Likely, he's out if Willy gets back. |
