Lindros I mvp 1 finals appearance. 1 100 pointseason. 5 full seasons all hype suffered concussions disappointment.
Not even a debate actually - Stayin alive
People love to romanticize AI because he was a little guy that was a dynamic scorer. |

The playoff-bound New York Islanders:
-28 wins in regulation
-16 OT/shootout losses
-23 blown 3rd period leads
-The NHL’s worst penalty kill
-105 2nd period goals allowed
-A -17 goal differential
-2 separate 6-game losing streaks this seaaon
The metro just sucks this year. That’s the main reason the Flyers are even still in the race. Get rid of the loser point and they’re a bottom 10 team. I’d rather see them get a higher pick so they have a better chance of drafting an elite player. |

AI couldnt play with anybody else....you watched from afar and the sports center highlights....if you were in philly, to see him day in night out, youd understand
Im not going back and forth....you have your opinion. I lived it, up close, I have mine |

Im not into bb as much anymore. Was huge lakers fans (showtime) days but appreciated the bb of the day and other teams.
Was dr j fan back when. Even I appreciated just how good ai was.
Was big into college bb and Syracuse back then. Douglas seikely Coleman etc those battles with ai and Georgetown made me appreciate how good he was. Always thought ai was kinda under rated actually. Dude was all heart |

This SHOULD be a prime example for 3-2-1 point system. It’s ridiculous that a team that barely wins 25% of games makes playoffs. |

He was a great scorer, did things in that era that a guy his size shouldnt have been able to do but theres a whole other side of his game and his approach that he never fulfilled. If he had Kobe's mentality and dedication, then you would be correct and he would fit the bill |

Kobe was great. No doubt. But Kobe needed help as they all do. Kobe got the help. Ai never did. Does Kobe ascend to his heights without Shaq? Idk. I doubt it. Kobe as great as he was very well could’ve turned out very similar to ai if he never got some help.
Maybe I over rate ai? I always felt bad for him. Dude was pretty much (frank)ed with from beginning. From whole league and outside forces. |

I actually meet ai once. Surprisingly actually was really quite cool dude. Took about 5 minutes to chat at airport. He actually initiated conversation. I was wearing lakers hat and he came up and sat next to me and said “you know, not happening this year” I look up and like no (frank)ing way. First thing I said to him was dude those battles with cuse were epic.
That was about all the bb we talked about. He said he wasn’t fan of flying and could tell he was uneasy. Looking back I think he saw hat and probably talked to people to calm him when flying. |

Very simple. They're going to view this season as a stepping stone, especially if they make the playoffs. They'll escalate from there and operate just as they always have. It's not really rooting against them. It's hoping that they do the right thing. - MJL
I haven’t seen anything that suggests that it’s true. And I’ll worry about that when it happens. Rooting against them with one game left in the season is silly. |

I thought that anything soccer did didnt make sense.....interesting....flip flopping again - THE BLACK HAND Oh please, give it a rest! I'm not flip flopping at all. I don't even know what point system soccer uses cause I don't give a flying phuck about the sport. Just get over the fact that I don't follow the sports that you like. It'll be okay wittle boy. Oh, and yes, I think in season tournaments are absolutely horrifically stupid! If the NHL did that I would throw up in my mouth! |

You’ll worry about it when it happens? Lmmfao. Then it’ll be too late. Yet again. That’s the problem. The pattern of this crap needs to stop. They are on EXACT course we’ve seen over and over. |

I honestly don't understand that mentality if you are a true Flyers fan. As in, it totally baffles me how anyone could get joy out of them missing the playoffs when they were as close as they were. What? So they can draft 3 spots higher in a weak draft? Or like, I told ya so...I'm just at a loss here. Reality...they have some good young players that developed their games this year. They have 4 first rounders in the next two drafts. They have an apparent stud over in Russia. They gave us true fans a season where we were actually able to enjoy some good hockey. I just don't get the misery on here along with the constant whining about things that haven't happened yet. At least give this regime this summer and see how it plays out! Is this asking too much? |

This team should Not be given ANY benefit of the doubt or leeway at all. They should PROVE they know what they are doing and what needs to be done.
Everyone knows they need top end talent and everyone says this. It’s clear what the obvious path to that is.
Seeler ext
Rp extension
Tk extension???
These moves prove otherwise |

I don’t root againgst them. I am rooting FOR WHATS BEST FOR THEM. Winning useless games to appease fans (“true fans” ) is bs! You have zero top talent. Mm yes in future. ZERO!!!
Yes they have draft capital. ADD TO IT!!! You are sacrificing adding to it by this fake season where teams stunk and stayed in playoff hunt while keeping players with value that could’ve added to draft capital. Could they still? Yes. Will they? Hopefully but history tells us they won’t because they are given a pass by “true fans” that accept mediocrity.
You know what sounds better than 10 picks in top 2 rounds (4 first) in next couple drafts? How about 12 or 13 or 14 and 5 or 6 or 7 first round picks.
So yes I root for the results that will hopefully help them see the light. And that’s not making playoffs.
Why do you and others except this fake season as exciting. A team is gonna make playoffs with less than 90 points. You know how often that happens? Never.
What you should have been enjoying this season is learning A LOT more about all the young guys and creaming your pants at all the draft capital they have ESPECIALLY if they moved tk laughts etc etc etc
You should’ve been been demanding a rebuild and proper path to top end talent. Instead you and others have been cockteased so bad you think she’s actually gonna come back into the room and finish you off.
And my “fandom” is 41 years and thousands upon thousands upon thousands of dollars invested into this team. So yes I get to cream my pants and them losing. Because I know it’s helping them. Hopefully…
I don’t think I can make it more clear than that |
