We lost in OT ... not one of our better games but the Isles weren't exciting either.

Imagine if they had lost/won most of those before OT.... so many 1 goal games this season. really need that secondary scoring to be more consistent.

for a team on the rebuild I can only see this as a positive thing. makes you wonder what they could do with a fully healthy roster.

I was thinking about this, while watching the game.

Maybe the best thing for the Habs to happen this year was Dach getting injured, the result was an increased playing time for Slaf on the first line, PP and ice time overall which saw his development grow quickly, especially in the second half of the season.

Now you never want a key guy to get hurt, but perhaps given still in a rebuild, not the end of the world and to our benefit (beyond potentially better pick).

Cant wait for that hurricanes-islanders series.
