And the GM who made that decision is likely going to make the next coaching hire.

They were in an impossible place with Peca. Sabres coming off a promising year, one point out, Tage, Tuch, Dahlin all coming into their own (or so we thought), Dominant power play, blah, blah, blah...they weren't about to fire their assistants. Obviously, they weren't going to block him from going to the NHL, either.

Wrong choice, to be sure. So maybe Kevy should go, too.

Although, Gerbe didn't specify as to who the "he" was in the "he's finished" gif...😉

But you're probably right. Kevyn is most likely safe.

Is it exciting when they promote Appert? 🤮
- Powerslave

It most certainly is NOT!!! Just more of the same, Terry too involved, Adam’s too gun shy and can’t read what the team needs.

I have no malice towards Gerbs, but he hasn't hit on anything in a couple of years. He isn't that wired.

As was shared already, their power play was not dominant from halfway through the season to the end of the season.

It was mediocre to bad when everyone figured out the puck was always going to Tage.

More importantly, quality organizations are not concerned with making changes when they finish 3 points out of a playoff spot.

Yes, I said 3 points due to that nonsense makeup game after the regular season ended that the opponent totally mailed in their performance.

FYI, there was no bigger fan of JJ Peterka in the org then Peca.

His sources are on the team end, unfortunately it takes two to tango.

We know that Patty Kane’s decision came down to Detroit and Buffalo.

We thought we had him, looks like he made the last second decision to choose Detroit.

Just like 89 and his info, you take it with a grain of salt and like any other business things can change on a dime.

So, if you were the GM of this roster and you are in season end meetings with individual players, what is your message; A) collectively, overall to the team and B) individually to each player?

I'll go...
- Overall: The results of season were plain and simply "not good enough". That goes for everyone in the organization - FO, Coaches and Players. The season was a step backwards in most categories and no one ( not fvckin "noone", it isnt a word) . The organization took a step backwards when it should have been a giant step forward. We missed. A missed opportunity, pure and simple, in a league that doesn't give opportunities to those unprepared for success. Collectively we were not prepared. That cannot and will not happen again, period. You mission this offseason is to prepare mentally and physically for a long playoff run that starts with you, today. This past season doesn't happen again, ever. So tell me, how will you improve this offseason, for your improved play to playoff levels in Training Camp to see if you are ready to compete?

- UPL: great improvement, how do you plan to be more consistent in game and over 55 games next season.
- Levi: what are you going to do to challenge UPL for the starters crease?
- Samuelsson- what is your planto play 82 games next season? What will you do to train to be a dominant top 4 Dman?
- Power: what to you need to do to improve your defensive game? How will you work to inject alot more physicality in your game...productive hits, clearing the front of the net?
- Dahlin: how do you plan to take leadership of this team? How will you work to become comfortable holding teammates accountable? What support do you need.
- Byram: wtf happened? You looked great in games 1-3, then looked very uncomfortable, uncertain.
- Johnson: tell me your plans to work on securing a full time role for 82+ games
- Cliffy:
- Tage: what are you going to work on to become a #1 Center to hit 100 pts or more while remaing a positive, top 10 player in terms of on ice goal differential
- Skinner: what team would you accept a trade to?
- Tuch: how can you help lead this team out of abyss
- Cozens: how do you plan to get back to 70 -80 pts
- Quinn: what are your physical training plans to get through all 82 games healthy?
- Peterka: what are you plans to grab the 1LW position
- Benson: we recommend a regiment to improve your skating, specifically your first two step speed and quickness. Also, here's a plan to develop your overall strength
- Krebs: when is your breakout coming...what are you going to do to wrestle the 3C away?
- Girgenson: what day is open for you in October for your retirement celebration
- Greenway: what city would you like to live in next season?
- Robinson: thanks, it has been real.
