This is false. There were no casualties. 109 had some sort of brain injury. Within a month 76 had returned to duty.

"U.S. commanders knew about the Iranian missile launches in advance and had scattered troops to bunkers. The initial assessment of the attack, in which 11 ballistic missiles struck the base, showed damage to some structures and equipment but no life-threatening casualties.

The lack of U.S. fatalities and the apparent absence of casualties calmed tensions between the U.S. and Iran. "

Just because we didn't hit them back, doesn't take away what those Soldiers went through during the Attack, especially if some might have gotten hit. Sh!t never leaves your Head.

Imagine lying about casualty numbers in an attack that had literally no casualties...

2-3 years away.

Im done with Samuelsson. He disappointed me. I'd try to trade come this deadline if he stays healthy. Doubt anyone would bite without seeing him stay in the lineup.

Gotta give him one more shot IMO. He has shown flashes of defensive acumen and we desperately need that type of player. If he stays healthy, and does well, you move Joker and Clifton, leaving him as is. The further into that contract we get, the easier it is to move as well (in case he reverts or starts falling apart).

I do not deny the hardship that would come with it.

I despise the absurdity in the statement.

While I focused on the players and Cap hits in my previous post, the biggest need is to replace the Asst Coaches. I'd like to see what the group would play like with competent coaching and system implementation

I'll preface this by saying Biden is a joke and he's ancient and it's embarrassing he's President and is going to run again...

However the revisionism on Trump's term always makes me chuckle

Hey, only 100 soldiers got concussions, concussions are totally fine, easy injuries to come back from. They certainly don't change your life or anything

Damnit, I just thought of a good one.

The reason Biden is running again is because the actor playing the character of Biden needs another 4 years to get his SAG pension

I’d like to see an NHL, experienced, upgrade to Wilford before writing off d prospects. I get the injuries, but he needs a shot with an NHL level coach…

Heard a random tidbit on WGR: account executives, i.e., ticket sales, are getting the day off on Monday and Tuesday. Monday is the last game of the season.

Guessing that's because they know people are going to call and female dog when there are no changes made Tuesday morning. If you're firing kevy and Donny you would want ticket sales open

Again, not joking about that, but apparently we can add not being able to comprehend what you read, which makes a ton of sense, actually

Unfortunately, we tried that before, twice, and it didn't work.

We were rabid isolationists before both world wars, and were drawn in anyway.

Was just playing around and mapped out Cap Hit for next 2 seasons.

'24-'25 Season
- added Stephenson at $6m and made
- 1 year deal to UPL for $3m.
- Rosen elevated to L4 on ELC
- Kulich elevated to L3 on ELC
Result was not problematic. Spent $81.56m of $87.7 Cap. A nice cushion to absorb unforeseen hits including bonuses.

'25 -'26 Season
- UPL given $5m contract
- Levi given $3m contract
- Byram given $6.25 contract
- Johnson kicks Samuelsson out of Buffalo with a $3m bridge deal
- Novikov promoted to 3rd Pair at ELC
- Peterka gets $4.5m bridge to L1 to replace Skinner
- Skinner Buyout results in $5.6m hit (vs $9.0)
- Quinn earns $4.5m bridge deal like JJP's
- Savoie on L3 on ELC
- FA signed for L4 at $1.75m
Result, $91m Cap Hit against Cap ceiling of $92.1, not leaving only $1.1m ,
IMO, those were pretty reasonable projections of Contracts. Leaves $1.0m of Cap space

Point is, with a lot of ELC's and reasonable projections of Contracts, unless they are trading out a big contract, there is limited room in the future.

Why buyout Skinner? You can retain up to half his salary, and there would be teams interest in Skinner at 4.5 to 6 million per season.

It would cost less, you'd have his money on his books for a shorter time period, and you'd gain an asset.

Good point.
The Buyout in year 1 is a $5.6 cap hit, $1.x in year 2.
50% costs $4.5m if someone wants him in 2 years from now (highly questionable), could cost an additional asset, and the most important...he has a full NMC so he has complete control if he leaves or not. We tend to forget that last part.
