It gives them such an advantage to have Matthews-Domi-Bert working. They don’t even have to be on a super hot streak to keep them together. They just need to be able to play with the Barkov line. JT, with Marner and Bobby M, or Jarnkrok, line up well the Bennet line leaving some combo of Knies, Holmberg, Willie, McMann or Jarnkrok which I think is stronger than Florida’s 3rd. Lots of options available for the 4th as well. - Canada Cup
f
Florida's 3rd line depth is good ...I think that's why Keefe is trying to spread his wealth and get 3 good lines.
It'll be a tight series ...one goal games ...if you're down by one in the 3rd you stack the lines and shorten the bench.
Wonder if he's setting up the 44-78 again. Boosh hasn't looked good of late. |

Bold prediction. Matthews wins the Selke. No Bergeron. Hischier out of the playoffs. Barkov not having as dominant a season offensively. Marner didn't play enough games. Mark Stone dead again. Kopitar not putting up the points to be in the conversation. Lindholm sucking. Maybe Crosby if they make the playoffs. - AdamFrench
Barkov is winning it IMO

I'm hoping Suzuki gets nominated. He'd deserve it.

Somebody should do a story about how the Leafs haven't won the Cup since 1967. |

I think he might still get a small decrease, but a smaller one that he was trending towards as you said. I suppose no matter what - if he comes out and is a monster in the playoffs, he'll still get paid. - Monkeypunk
What happens in the playoffs will impact what happens with Bert and Earnie. We can talk about what they should or shouldn’t get but it means absolutely nothing without input from these playoffs. On that note, Keefe always goes back to the blender. If this line of Matt Bert and Earnie, slows down for one game, they are done. Anyone can see these guys are amazing together, they look like they love the line and can’t help but go hard every shift. Its a great fit for Matthew’s. But that’s not keefes way, and he will, break the line up. |

That is franking awesome!! You can't convince me that Reaves' presence doesn't make a difference. Full disclosure, he sucked the first part of the season. He is everything we could have hoped for the last month or so. He will be a contributor in the playoffs. |

And Keefe has been using that line as his primary 'stopper' line so their offensive opportunities are going to be more limited. - The Law
Ideally, that's all you want a line like that to do. Eat minutes against tough competition and don't get buried on chances. The job is to neutralize the threat and burn minutes to rest your offensive weapons. It's the role Cirelli's line takes for Tampa. It also doesn't hurt if somebody on that line can score an occasional goal, like JT or McMANn is capable of.....or Yarncock.

Yet more proof that ownership cares more about $ than fans. The best fans to them are the ones with full pockets so to speak. Don’t blame them either, it is a business. |

I hope Matthews goes full Super Saiyan and carries this team to a Cup. Simmons and the media idiots will have strokes. Trolls in this forum will go quiet like birds during an eclipse. It will be glorious.

Oh FFS.
It's a pretty simple graph - there's the line of demand, and the line of supply. Where they meet is where they set the price.
What model exactly do you propose? Where they sell the tickets for $40 each? Guess what happens then? Every single one of those tickets gets sold on the secondary market, where scalpers profit instead of MLSE - and "the fans" pay the exact same price.
But please, let me hear how you would model Leafs playoff tickets if you owned the team. |

Holy frank, have you seen the price of the new 911 Turbo?
https://finder.porsche.co...model=911&dealership=5025
$355,253
How is a regular car enthusiast supposed to even own one of these?
Just more proof that Porsche cares more about profits than real drivers.
I'll bet the only people who can afford this are guys who don't even put it into 5th gear. |
