I haven’t been watching closely, so here is the big post-renovation question:
Does Geddy Lee still have sweet seats behind home plate? - Atomic Wedgie
I dont see him.
Seems like a lot of wasted space behind home |

If the stick hits the face, yeah . . . if it doesn't you have several questions: Was the swing pulled (meaning would the stick have still hit the face if the puck wasn't there or was it like a bunted swing?) and to your point - what was the angle of the swing? It seems to me that if your puck is making contact with the puck that closely to his face, the odds are your stick would, too, on the follow through . . .
I don't know earlier this year I saw an Oiler game where a guy got high sticked by someone swinging at the puck and the refs ruled that the contact to the face was from a follow-through on the swing - but the swing itself was over the shoulder, so I couldn't understand how it was not a penalty. - Monkeypunk
Inconsistent officiating in pro sports. What a shock. I saw the opposite where the penalty was issued.

He isn’t.
He just knows the rules, and demands that the refs call it properly (obviously only complains when it would favour the Penguins).

As a young Wedgie, I bought into the “Whine Gretzky” crap.
I later realized I just cheated myself out of years of enjoying the greatest player in the history of the game.
Crosby is the greatest player of his generation, and every so often, he hoists trophies while wearing red and white.
I’m a huge fan. |

Leafs are looking tougher, must be dialing up the cranky for playoffs! Can’t wait till Edmunston is back to add to it! |

Same, he's legit fun to watch. Haters say he's whiny but I think he's just competitive, he rarely whines to the media which I think important. |

The refs themselves may perform a review if the high sticking call is greater than 2 minutes. So if they call a 4 minute and have any doubts, they can review it and ensure it's actually a double-minor. They have done this before in cases where they weren't sure if it was a penalty or not. It allows them to reduce penalties to 2 minutes from 4, or to no minutes if it was deemed it wasn't a high stick (own team, own stick, embellishment, etc.). - Monkeypunk
Well this is the difference, there was no call to review initially… the review was if a call needed to be made or not, is that different? Again honest question. |
