When is Harkins and ATCh ready to replace Bemstrom and Puljharvey?

Pierre LeBrun

Sullivan says Crosby didn’t start OT because he had a skate issue.

Okay okay...I can trust that haha. Its hard to believe initially because we have all been in here disgusted with the exact same decision in this season already.

Most definitely should have gone with Malkin and Rakell. My bet is Sullivan wanted Drew out there to start.

We're still in a good spot here. We need the Rangers to win in regulation tonight. Detroit's schedule isn't intimidating by any stretch. Better chance of overtaking the Islanders.

Oh yeah, they still kinda have their fate in their own hands at this point.

Harkins is 'conditioning' in WBS. Accieri is still not skating.

So close. I just needed Crosby with the winner for my prediction. A point is a point though.

I am less annoyed given Sid had skate issues (Sid always has skate issues). Presumably they wanted Sid+Rust as a pair, and were going to them next. Not sure if Geno+[Bunting,Rak] would've done any better than Eller+DOC. They need to figure out how to be average at 3-on-3 for next year.

Played really well last night, heck of a road game. If they had played anything like this most of the year they'd be locked into a top-3 spot in the Metro even with their terrible PP and OT.

Next game is huge. With 2 days off prior, I am looking for Sid to come out hot.

I thought they looked sluggish for stretches last night, more so mentally. Just not quite the same attention to detail and crispness to their play as we've seen for a few weeks. Seemed to lose more board battles than they had been in this time frame, as well. Leafs are a great and potent team, so I dont want to take anything away from them in saying this stuff. One way of looking at it is its a bit encouraging they even got a point vs a team like that on the road despite not looking/being on par with what we've seen the past few weeks for stretches of the game.

I think a day or two of rest will go a long way.

I'm not a big fan of Harkins tbh. I thought he could add a bit of offense but NONE. I'd keep Bemström for now.

Yeah, that was the 5th game in 8 days, which is just terrible scheduling. Do fans really want to see exhausted players? The extra day off should really help.
