I will never understand why dudes don’t line change earlier in OT. DOC was on the leafs’ side of the red line 35 seconds into a shift and didn’t change. Why. Just (frank)ing change.

Last year they were 8-10 in OT, 1-1 in the SO. This year they're 3-9 in OT, 2-3 in the SO. Overall that's 9-11 after reg last year and 5-12 this year, a huge difference when you're on the edge of the playoffs.

I don't have much against DOC. I think he's a good young player. However, its almost insulting to Sid, Geno, Rust and Rak that he gets to start such an important OT like that over them. If you're going to go with Eller on the opening draw why wouldn't you put one of his other linemates (Smith or Puus), he's been really effective with, out there instead of DOC?

Most definitely should have gone with Malkin and Rakell. My bet is Sullivan wanted Drew out there to start.

We're still in a good spot here. We need the Rangers to win in regulation tonight. Detroit's schedule isn't intimidating by any stretch. Better chance of overtaking the Islanders.
