Drive to NY State and park. Will save you 1000 bucks. - AdamFrench
Doesn't really help.
I added an extra night - flying in on the Friday. There's no direct flights, and some of the routings are absolutely horrible. For now, would have to assume it can be a Saturday afternoon game, so flying in on the Friday is a necessity.
Works out to $1,200 per person for just flight and hotel. |

That's not bad. Going to Victoria and didn't want to fail Mr. Sir's background checks, 1400 for the tickets for two people. 1.1k for the hotel for a 5 day stay. |

Once you get there, you can probably save money on fresh farm salmon.

yeah my wife flies a lot and friends of ours 10+ times a year and they avoid Flair.
they also hired someone we know, who I would never hire..for anything lol - senstroll
We flew Swoop to FLA a few years back because the schedule matched our needs. On the way down to Fort Lauderdale, easy peasy not a complaint. We were staying in the Keys. Travel day back home, a long drive from the keys, flight is delayed, and delayed and delayed. Wife was on the phone for a couple hours while I drove. Finally an answer as we were closing in on Miami - flight was cancelled and rerouted to Tampa. We had to drive from Grassy Key to Tampa ffs. Added 5 hours to our drive. Never again. People who were in Ft. Lauderdale waiting were offered a bus to Tampa. They missed the flight. |

nah, live in Ottawa, no interest in watching the moon move by the sun. I will be home working, I just just don't get the hype around this event. |

That's almost unbelievable, except you hear stories like that all the time. Companies like Flair have to utilize their planes for as many hours a day as possible to be profitable, so one single delay can ruin their route network for days, or potentially weeks.

OK, Lawsie requested it, so here's the initial numbers for a trip to watch the Boyz play in Sunrise:
Assuming the playoffs start on the Saturday, but we have no way of know whether the Leafs will play Sat or Sun, we would fly in early Saturday morning on Flair airlines, leaving Toronto 6:30 am, arriving 9:50 am.
Staying at the Cambria Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach, which gets an 8.6/10 rating on Travelocity, and it's right on the ocean.
Flight back home Monday morning leaves Fort Lauderdale at 10:35 am, arrives in Toronto 1:55 pm.
Total is $695 per person, based upon double occupancy.
Uber looks to be $40 to the arena.
My wild guess is $300 for a ticket in the nosebleeds - maybe our Panthers guests here on the forum can say if that seems accurate or not.
Add in transportation to and from airport (both cities) and you are probably looking at roughly $1,200 per person, not counting food and drinks.
Not quite as cheap as I was hoping. - Atomic Wedgie
Thanks Wedgie ...hmmm, if I had more time the game plan might be to sell game 3 and 4 tickets .....and instead take in games 1 and 2 in FLA. Fly down Saturday and back Tuesday morning.
