oh I know, some are doing a horrible job, or are even literally doing the opposite of what they should be doing.

it ain't easy. it takes a license to drive a car or to go fishing, but anyone can have kids.

That would be so good if there were requirements

again, the state shouldn't be regulating that sort of thing but since you're a teacher I get where you're coming from, 100%.

yes!

now you can ironically sell concert tickets at a very high price that a huge portion of the fanbase can't afford, along with expensive communist merch.

They're used to be "requirements" but then a more hands off approach came in, and some of that falls on the school. Anything like frequent absents, never having meals, dirt clothing clear substance abuse would be a direct call to the dpj, and for the most part, in kept parents in check. Now though, some stupid chain of command where the issue never gets by the behavior tech so the issue persists

15 years ago. Kid I was in grade 8 with missed over a month of school. DPJ was called and the parents were told if he misses any more school, he was going into foster care. Another kid looked like pig pen and was taken from their home. We have mechanisms in place, but we don't use them

ah, so the requirements are basically the same, they're just not enforced nor respected.

but I agree, there seem to be a lot of situations that would require some kind of intervention, but sadly nothing is ever done, or we simply act too late.

the way he customizes his guitars and uses switches makes his style very unique, which makes me appreciate him even more.

I have a (frank) ton of respect for any musician or artist that manages to craft their own sound, it's not an easy thing to do.

speaking of music, has anyone tried Suno, a website that lets you create songs via artificial intelligence..?

it's scary good. sometimes you would never be able to tell it was artificially created by a computer. and it's only the beginning.

somehow i ended up in a rabbit hole a couple days ago and was reading all this stuff about how eddie van halen made some of his guitars out of different bits by himself at home. i also never realized that the frankenstrat was like 3 or 4 different guitars over time, just all painted like that.

i didn't understand half of what i was reading but it was still fun to read.

I had it create a bluegrass song about ketamine, it actually sounds very good, I'm very impressed.

i did one song (with 2 versions?) one sounded like a really commercial rock song and the other sounded like 80's wrestling entrance music.

yeah I think it always gives two different versions.

my reggae song about wet farts was also pretty epic (it's entitled "Soggy Breezes", it came up with the title ).

just made a grunge song about energy drinks!

[Verse]
Eyes wide open, heart racing fast
Can't slow it down, it's like an adrenaline blast
Caffeine coursing through my veins
Nothing can stop me, I'm a runaway train

noice

as much as I'm impressed, I find it a bit scary. there's no way this kind of thing won't be used in all sorts of nefarious ways, without people even knowing about it.

I don't think it creates a complete audio file with vocals and instruments, not unless you pay for additional options at least.
