Well ROR is essentially their former Bertuzzi, a top six guy who can play physical. Also it was ROR that didn’t want to stay in Toronto.

I like Domi more than Bunting, won’t lie. Bunting got dumped off by a competitor to Pittsburgh and his totals for the year are 45P at 75GP for $4.5 million for 3 years. Domi has 42P at 75GP at $3 million for 1 year. I’ll stick with my preference.

And I’ll take McMann over someone like Kerfoot as well. Cheaper, younger, and has the same talent. May be a touch under developed than Kerfoot but not by much.

As for that 4th line the leafs are far tougher than they were last year that’s for damn sure. As of late they’ve been playing great with a strong physical offence. Not playing with talent as much as their bodies, way better than last year.

Bunting also had the officials after him while he was in Toronto. It seems like his reputation improved as soon as he was traded.

sparking your team is one thing. Them acting like fanboys at first fight is another. They channeled all that happiness into getting outshot 11-4. At home. Against a rival that is chasing you down.
- drexel

to steal a quote from moneyball
"I hate losing more than I even want to win"

fan frustration iv seen is that they seem to look fine when they are losing. and people want them to hate losing..or playoffs at least require something like that

Bunting, ROR, Kerfoot, Acciari, Lafferty
(69 G, 110 A, 179 pts)

Bertuzzi Domi McMann Dewar Reaves

Take the guy who didn’t want to resign in Toronto (ROR) out of the mix, and then compare the contracts as well. The guys you’re mentioning cost a whole lot more in the off-season and far more years.

If you want to analyze things then include every aspect that matters, not just the ones that strengthen your position 😉

A lot of people said last year that "winning a round" would be successful.

Those same people back down on that after the Florida series.

People just want more, they won't be satisfied until they win a cup.

The positive note is when they do it will be glorious. Glorious for the fans and miserable for the Leaf haters.

I'd actually be worried for some people out there that revolve their fandom and life around hating the leafs.

- Santo_44

winning the Stanley (frank)ing Cup is successful👊

everything short of that is nothing more than abject leafy ‘68-‘24 failure 🤦🏿‍♂️🤬😭

what a (frank)ing joke🤦🏿‍♂️

edit: nice alliteration 👍

What? No. He is still a (frank)head.

I don’t blame Carolina (playoff bound) for dumping him off to Pittsburgh (very likely misses the playoffs) at the deadline at all.

I think I can speak for Skalapy, and perhaps most of us, in saying that the lack of alliteration in this blog title is disappointing to say the least.

Totally fair lol

But Crosby’s job isn’t going to be easier because of Dubas’ love for that ass Bunting. That over penalized dippoop will make things harder if anything.

That said:

Bunting Penalties called / 60 minutes:

Toronto: 1.76
Carolina: 1.39
Pittsburgh: .24

That said, Bunting Penalties drawn / 60 minutes:

Toronto: 2.09
Carolina: 1.85
Pittsburgh: 1.18

Penalty net total:

Toronto: 0.33
Carolina: 0.46
Pittsburgh: 0.94

Seems someone is still getting the short end of that stick especially since we know that the player hasn't changed.

It hasn’t mattered yet, that’s when he’ll start (frank)ing up.

So glad he’s gone… two years with the leafs and his points decreased by 22.2% and his PIM increased by 28.75%.

He’ll eventually break down for the penguins…. (frank) even his playoff history is 23 GP, 5 whole P on a top line, and 19 PIM

Glad only the past failure of a GM is gone and obviously the one who liked him.

Or he’s just incapable of handling the additional attention of playing in Toronto reasonably.

If the Pens make the playoffs and eliminate the Maple Leafs, I imagine that Dubas' harshest critics among Leafs Nation would be quite emotionally disregulated by that turn of events.

I could handle that I guess but if it occurs and Bunting gets the series winning goal I’ll openly admit that apparently I’m a dumb dumb and even dumber dumbass

Bases loaded, vlad up to bat.
1 out

Vlad hits into a double play?

Edit:
Wild pitch, runs scores, runners advance, no double play opportunity anymore
Vladdy gets k'd but he battled.

What he made from the leafs is a notable difference. $900K a year here and I could handle his douchebag game for that. However he’s now at $4.5 million a year and is currently at a pace that will get 1 more whole point than last year… he’s a terrible signing now.

Sullivan would start putting him on the ice with the ol’ “go take a penalty” instruction lol
