I'm not as cold on Brodie as some ..he's dipped for sure and he seems to be less effective against bigger opponents but he's still had some really good games. He's still a lot better than Gio and Timmins and probably a few others.

For me the PK is a big concern ...that should factor into who he plays in the playoffs. Need to have your best PKers in the lineup against FLA and/or BOS.

Strangely, the PK has been solid the last few games while missing Marner, Jarny, and Dewar taking a couple extra penalties. It's like this team steps up when needed, but then falls flat on their face when things get back to normal. Watch, Morgan, Marner, Eddy, and Jarny come back at some point and the team will fall flat. Hope I'm wrong.

All the talk about the Lightning catching the Leafs but the Leafs are closer to catching the Panthers.. 4 points back with 2 games in hand.

The pk has been pretty bad.
It should improve when those players return.

I'm not sure that measures out yet. The post deadline stats are no different than the pre-deadline stats. Every month (except November) has been 74-78% (ie. poop). They killed all of them against FLA but Sammy made some highlights on the PK.

The forwards are fine for me ...generally. I think the blue liners have been exposed most of the year. Brodie's dipped ...Gio and Lilly are trash on the PK ...and Eddie (small sample) hasn't had good results. Rielly's not been good there either.

Boosh, McCabe, Benoit have all been good statistically. Makes sense b/c they block a tonne of shots. I think Brodie or Eddie need to settle into that 4th PK spot.

I think the real debate for the playoff lineup will be do you go with Rielly plus 5 stay at homes (Boosh, McC, Benny, Brodie and Eddie) or do you swap in Lilly (if he's healthy) for one of those guys. Lilly being in balances out the left-right thing as well.

I think Keefe goes for Rielly and the muckers.

Boston or Florida I think you're right. I think Rielly + muckers is the likely choice. Maybe Brodie or Gio sneaks in as a vet but I wouldn't go with both of them.

Edmundson, McCabe, Russian Bear, Benoit and Rielly should all be locks.

Turner and Schneider been the best jays so far.
Kirk, Bo, Varsho and KK been awful. going 8-67 for a .119

Berrios and Gaus

- senstroll

Meh, not even 10 games yet....but ya those guys havent been great.
0 stolen bases for the jays.
19th in majors for rbi's, 8th in the AL (last in their division)
13th in majors for HR's, 6th in the AL ( 2nd in their division)

Hopefully they come back home with a minimum. 500 record.
Ill worry at the 40 game mark.
Lots of time to get better....or worse.

Somewhere right now Jake Gardiner looks confused.

This would have happened whether you made that statement or not.

I miss Strub's pickles. But I hear they might be coming back this summer. In the meantime I'll have to track down some Bubbies pickles.

Agreed. I think Detroit put an end to that narrative. I'd like to see the Leafs knock the reeling Panthers down a notch. Even if Tampa takes both head to head games (not a given by any means), they would still need to run the table to have a chance.

I hope the Leafs fold like the Growlers so I can get back to enjoying life without my happiness being tied to a group of people I have no control over.

Well said sir, we all feel better when the Leafs are eliminated. The hope they win/hope they lose that remains until they are is very annoying.
