I think the road to take out Florida is to target Sam Bennett and get him off his game. Sure, they're a dangerous team, but I see their flaws. They do have problems keeping up with a good skating team. The Panthers really are a North South team and play a great game of clogging up the neutral zone. Leafs just need to be cognizant of their turnovers entering the offensive zone. A dump and chase type of game with hard on the forecheck would make it difficult on the Panthers.

Jack Edwards is the worst Play by Play man in NHL history. He sounds in the bag, half the time. I don't know how an original 6 team can employ such an announcer. Go Nashville. I want to see the Panthers and Bruins beat on each other for a shot at first.

It’s not impressive cause a guy making 1/3rd of Matthews salary is trending towards 60 goals.
Plus this version of NHL is extremely tipped towards offence. Can’t quote numbers but there was a wild amount of players playing at a PPG last year. Back in 2010 there was maybe 15 guys at or around that pace - compared to now it’s insanity.
Can’t respect a guy getting a lot of goals when there’s another dude doing the same thing Matthews has/is doing at almost 1/3rd the cost - amazing value and Hyman earns his goals too. Probably more motivated this year because of the terrorist attacks on Israel back in October. Who knows.

I understand what you are saying and some folks are over the top about Keefe - but Buds fans are always over the top (as they should be!) with passion and opinion.

But with line/pairings shuffling:

- I think does it way too often. It’s all year, even in games (most games), with forwards and dmen. He certainly does it far more than I personally can recall any coach do it.

- I absolutely think it’s not just a good idea but necessary when: team is struggling, specific key players struggling, injuries, or just seeing what you can put together if needed down the road. He just seems to do it to do it sometimes and again, seemingly all season.

- players need to get use to playing with one another, especially d-pairs.

- can send unsettling messages to players about their games.

But I don’t think Keefe is a terrible coach like some and definitely don’t think it means he should get fired over it…I think his in game adjustments systems wise and matchup wise is where he lacks. The onus is on both players and coach but it does seem like he is having trouble getting a complete 60 out of his players consistently. If Leafs have a bad showing this playoffs he needs to go - but I can see him being this year for sure (not like some of the haters).

Any particular reason? Just no money? Maybe it's time to stop putting hockey in NFLD.

I heard the same company wanted to buy both, but the league would only let them buy Trois Rivieres. That was what I read, but I never dug into the context of the truth or if they were given the choice of buying only one - or if the league said, "F* Newfoundland. No one is saving those pluralizing bastards!"
