Sure they do. Somebody has to play those minutes and accrue stats that look like first pairing minutes.

I think York is a #2 d-man at his best. Sanheim is a 3-4 at his best. Both are asked to do more than they are capable of . York is handling it better right now. Sanheim handled it better earlier this season. Sanheim is struggling right now though.

I don't believe that .500 hockey gets them in anymore. The number that keeps popping up in my head is 94. I think 94 points gets you into the dance. If the Flyers play .500 the rest of the way that nets them 91 points. Not gonna do it IMO.
