Will be fun to see some of these guys in their prime (top, frost, Tyson), then the new crop coming in.

Sat in my local watering hole in south Jersey. Bartenders turned off the sound to collage hoops and amped up the Flyers sound. Fun game to watch. Looking forward to the local haters take.

Great win. I jumped when Foerster scored on that amazing shot. Very fun game to watch although I only got to see the third.

The game today was brutal until the last 5 minutes I don’t know what everyone else was watching. Sloppy, weary, heavy legged looking game from both teams especially Boston.

Winnipeg has crapped the bed against Jersey and the isles. Can they make it a trifecta for us tommorow?

Pretty much like watching the Eagles, despite their early wins.

Yes! I jumped and yelled "scorrrreee!" So fun beating a team like the Bruins. Even better, it ruined the day for the regular haters. MJL, where are you? When they lose, you have plenty to say. When they win, we rarely hear your words of wisdom.

I'd say yes. Florida is another tough team. Put Ersson out there and see what he can do.

Does Torts get some credit for Frost"s improvement, or is it a case where Torts gets no credit because of the way he went about it?

The Flyers only have three games remaining against teams better than they are, the Panthers tonight and two against the Rangers. Every other game is a winnable game. Because the Flyers were able to get 5 out of 6 points this week, they have really set themselves up nicely to make the playoffs.

Frost and York both were held back too long. Now some could say the coach pulled the right strings and that's why they are as they are now. Others, like me, could say that we could've had these players playing like this last year if their obvious talent was given a chance.

His confidence is sky high. I think he finally understands what kind of player he can be.
- MBFlyerfan

Exactly, he’s a play maker but now he understands what he needs to do when the play is not there, that is to make his own play happen. That is the key to the jump in his game.

Both Barkey and Bonk seem like they have some potential for sure. Michkov is going to be a star.

I am closely watching the situation with Kolosov. Briere on Snow the Goalie yesterday saying they working the paper work to try bring him over. I think this bears watching.

Since MJL is not here, let me step in for him and give everyone his standard response after a Flyers game.

What happened in this game yesterday was all Tort’s fault! He is fine for now but he’s not the coach for them moving forward, the quicker they fire him the better.

He should get some credit. His methods are debatable but sometimes he gets good results. Sometimes he alienates players. Nobody thought with about 10 games left the Flyers would be 3rd in the division, so there’s that and Torts should get some credit for that as well.

Well that would be the answer to: ‘how does this season get more interesting?’

I would assume he’d go to the ahl first?

While many may not agree, I have zero trust in the current backup and would absolutely play him down the stretch and into the POs if needed.

It’s funny….somethings Torts will get credit for a situation he rightly will deserve and others he will be seen as having no connection to a success but it probably wouldn’t have happened if he Didn’t approach that situation the same way. Sometimes like you said he really has no influence on a player or situation….it would have happened anyways….Coach’s aren’t always right, far from it. I’m just happy a lot of these young guys appear to have taken some massive steps this year.

Frost and York were entirely different situations. Absolutely no issue with how York was handled, you could probably argue it benefited the player. Frost yo-yo was clearly the dumb torts bias and the player is now making him look stupid for doing so

Hoping for the dailey double today. If the Jets bounce back after the drubbing they took yesterday and take down the Caps and we hold serve at home tonight, the Caps could be in our rear view mirror for good. Let’s show Fla what a home game looks like.

Gonna be a tough one tonight as they will almost certainly have Sandstrom in net.

And, btw, starting Sandstrom tonight is absolutely the right call. There is no need to be wearing down Ersson by starting him in both games of a b2b. If they lose, they lose. They have a bit of a cushion and plenty of winnable games left on the schedule.
