Ah, so 250 scouts were all wrong?

He plays the exact same game he played in college.

Remember when Dahlin sucked? Power will be fine.

- Powerslave

yeah dont think hes playing the way he was coached its the same for dahlin kruger neutured him and when he left he played way better the same will be said when kruger 2.0 and his friends takes the hike. maybe they will get a coach that will inject resilience because they got none

we tanked so dahlin and power can take us to a contending level and we are worse now than 12 months ago

not better

and we have decent goaltending this year

It's coaching and bad management and you know it.

Yeah, and that was a dumb and ridiculous comparison. How would Bobby Orr do in today's game?
- Powerslave

I did not make the comparison, countless writers did

I think orr would be better in today's era if for no other reason, they can fix his knees in 2024 and they could not in 74

I make no assumptions with this franchise at this point

countless times we see lack of effort on the ice so they are part of it as well

Swap Dahlin and Power’s names with Eichel and Reinhart and it’s Deja Vu 2019

I know you didn't - and the point still stands. It's a ridiculous comparison.

Orr isn't skating around players or putting up points like he did in the 60s and early 70s when roughly half the league couldn't skate and goalies were all 5'8" and wore street hockey equipment.

And Dahlin is absolutely a difference maker and anyone who says otherwise is just being stubborn.

pretty much

culture, core, coaching, complacent

I think it's a bit of all, from the owner down to the ahl level

no killer instinct by the gm, coach, or players

just going through the motions year after year

Remember when Dahlin used to yell at Mitts for playing Fortnite all day and skipping the gym?

Really good player, but Dahlin could have been so much better with proper Development. IMO

orr also would have been a better athlete in today's era though

dahlin looks a lot like zhitnik more often then a norris guy though

Krueger stunted his growth.

They need better assistants if they're keeping Granato.

C'mon man. Not even close. Zhitnik would skate up the ice at 100mph with no clue as to what to do when he got to the other blue line.

IMO Granato is holding this team back

not coaching to their strengths

dahlin is gripping the stick too tight and just firing the puck and it's way off the mark more this year then the past 2 years

take a little off the shot and it's more effective IMO

It was more than Stank, started when they drafted him. Agree on the Assistant Coaches, need a bit of experience and it hurt losing Peca.

And yet he still set a career high in goals and is still second in goals for defensemen this year.

Thompson might be the worst FO drawing center in the league

The fact that MFE is an assistant coach in the NHL is just mind boggling.

I think he was better all around last year, like a bunch of other core guys

he is the best player on the team, as expected and maybe with a better partner, he will be even better next year as he looks better since the casey trade
