Most games ever played in the NHL without a playoff appearance...

1. Jeff Skinner - 997
2. Guy Charron - 734
3. Rasmus Ristolainen - 713
4. Zemgus Girgensons - 680

I've got Skinner becoming the 1st player in NHL history on Tuesday to play 1000 games before a single playoff game

Terry's new money maker when he sells, writing a book entitled "How I decemated and drove my beloved sports team into the ground and collected $900M doing so".

It will become #1 on the list shortly, your inability to grasp that is entertaining.

No,
- reason # 1 is Terry's refusal to run the club like a team who's sole purpose is to win Stanley Cups. He should step-down as President and turn it over to a qualified nhl expert...I like Mike Gillis. This isn't happening.

- reason #2 is Terry's refusal to fire KA and hire a real fvcking GM with NHL experience. This isn't happening.

- reason #3 is KA's inability to view players and prospects as assets to be used for continuous improvement of the club...that means using the volumes of prospects as trade bait in a package of productive nhl players at positions of need. 1C, 3C, 2RhD are my top priorities. I doubt 1 of those happens in the offseason.

- reason #4 is Granto is in over his head and should be relieved of his duties and replaced with a qualified, experienced NHL Coach. This isn't happening.

- reason #5 is the Assistant Coaches at ECHL level qualification and capabilities. I like Brad Shaw from Phiily for D / PK, and Scott Arneil as O / PP. I doubt they go this caliber of quality.

- reason #6 is lack of leadership in player ranks...i can't even call them the Leadership Group anymore as the are rudderless in this regard. They need 2 - 3 new players with Proven leadership. I like Stamkos here, and like Tkachuk for his playing style and having leadership experience...hecould learn quite a bit from Stammer over 2 -3 years. This isn't happening.

- reason # 32,436 is drafting.

But, let's focus on 32,436

For an 18 year old in the best league in the world ?

Tons of success. He’s the youngest Sabre to do multiple things now. His name is in record books.

Does that count for nothing ?

I'm really starting to resent the Pegula's, so lets list his top actual accomplishments that he's done for the city:

-Hiring Brandon Beane
-Bandits Championship
-Buying The Amerks
-Bringing back the Knights franchise to Rochester
-Harbor Center

Feel free to add your own.

Now on the flipside the negatives...yikes.

Knowing nothing on your list will change, the plan to depend on the draft will continue. When the draft picks fail (already showing) and the inability to trade or sign FA's continues(it will)...the Sabres will be left with the Girgs/Okposos's of the league, again...and be forced to overpay them.

Won't matter if they don't get the proper Development and leadership. Sabres are very bad with this and it's been a non stop cycle for a Decade.
- Buff36

Well, when you consistently hire your friends and not the best people for the job you’ll get that.

Adam Mair, Tim Kennedy, Zach Redmond doesn’t scream success.

The Bandits have been an amazing team since its inception. I don’t give Pegula credit for that.

I truly don’t think he even knows what goes on with that sport but know, they fill the arena.

I could probably tear the rest of this down, but Meh

Prior to JJ Peterka, who was the last Sabres second round pick drafted by the team to have a 25 goal season with the team?

Aside from Zach Benson, who was the last Sabres forward to debut at age 18 and have the success he’s had ? Turgeon ?

How many players in the last decade have had the success Kulich has had as a U20 player in the AHL ?

Noah Ostlund just clicked at a 0.60 PPG pace in the SHL and was robbed of the WJC MVP. He looks every bit the part of a player who will be able to slot in nicely behind Tage and Cozens for the next decade.

Rosen has been trending well. AHL All-Star this year and has rounded out his game. I think he can be the middle 6 forward we were all hoping Olofsson could be.

Only Connor Bedard has had more point production in the WHL with a 2.5 PPG season than Matthew Savoie who finished with 2.08 PPG this season this century.

Who was the last 20 year old forward to click at 1.3 PPG or better in the AHL like Jack Quinn did in his last season there ? Have to go all the way back to 2013/2014 where Ryan Strome clicked at 1.30. Still less than Jack Quinn who had 1.35 PPG.

Komorov is the best d-man in the QMJHL this year.

Novikov, Kozak, Kisakov, Neuchev all are playing key roles on an Amerks team gunning for a playoff spot.

- Swedish_Jesus

How old was Bedard in the season he had that performance, and how old was Savoie this season?

Don't want to mention the production Jagger Firkus had this season that was very close to Savoie's?

The next set of NHL Rumours keeps us in the East. One team that was pegged to take the next steps forward is the Buffalo Sabres. In a shocking turn of events, the Sabres remain in the playoff race but whether they get in or not remains to be seen. Like the Devils, this is a core group that is signed for the long haul and will be together for a good while.

The time has come for the Sabres to return back to being a playoff team but the question remains behind the bench. Is Granato the guy to lead them to the promise land? Can they get there?

Kevyn Adams has done a good job of assembling the pieces to ice a competitive team. According to Johnston, the Sabres are not of a mind at this time to make a change behind the bench. It will be interesting to see what plays out and what they do going into next year.

side note has anyone seen or heard about her since that day in the truck for bills training camp?

only in Buffalo is this kept hush hush and the sabres get no heated questions from the local media

Savoie’s closest comparison is Stankoven.

If you can find me a Stars fan that’s female doging about him right now be my guest.

Moaning about the Sabres prospect pool is like complaining about Sydney Sweeney’s tits or Jennifer Lopez’s dumper.

It makes me laugh every single time
