I had heard that the top level Avs brass were putting together a package for Crosby but not that anyone would listen to it. Then they traded Bowen Byram and I thought... nah.

Literally the only way Crosby is traded is if he INSISTS that he's traded. They have to keep him because he'll sell tons of tickets even if the team stinks the next X years.

I have no doubt teams are offering. I have no doubt Sid will be the captain of the Pens at least 3 more seasons. I’m pretty much right about everything.

Michael Bunting will likely be coming back in the trade (my own speculation). Carolina is holding him out tonight and he has played for Dubas before in Toronto. I wouldnt love it since he's signed for several more years at $4.5M and it doesnt look like he's having a great season.

Bingo knows how Bunting is playing better than me, but my first impression is that if we are taking Bunting back at his full contract... that is a negative in trade value, not a plus. That should increase the package of assets from Carolina.

Agree. I think Dubas may have been a bit overzealous in his expectations for a Guentzel trade. He may have overplayed his hand and (frank)ed himself.
