I remember seeing plays like that in the first month or so of season thinking Geno-Smith were gonna be a power pair haha

Okay, which one of you hoopies spiked Sullivan's coffee?

Putting one of the hottest forwards on the team to the top line, Eller.

Moving Puustinen and Smith to their strong side wings.

Constructing a line of guys under 26, let alone under 30.

Yep, Sullivan's drunk, high or both.

Would you Trade Jarry for Timo Meier?
- 123Kid

I don't know if it would be that straight forward. They need to ditch Vanacek if they are taking a goalie. We would need to ditch salary also.

I really like Meier but his contract is excessive. I'd probably take Jake over him and he will likely get a similar contract. Now...

Jarry & Graves for Meier and Daws? Yes.
Jarry & Smith for Meier, Daws & Holtz? Yes.
Jarry for Meier straight up? Tough call.
Jarry & Rackell for Meier, Vanacek, Holtz & a 1st? Probably.

Reilly Smith with some more points and boosting that trade value.

Geno’s a (frank)ing train wreck. Should have just stayed down when he was pretending to be hurt earlier.

WTF is CBJ doing? Don't they know they've got a real shot at the top pick in the lottery?

I wonder who we would want from Boston if Vancouver is acquiring prospects and picks to help land Jake.
- 123Kid

In terms of prospects, Lysell would be a nice pickup. The whole situation seems a bit far fetched, even for gunslinger JR. But then again, Lindholm has not been good for the Canucks and wasn't great with Calgary this year.

Homerun would be

Lindholm for Boston 1st & Lysell.

Guentzel for Hoglander, Lysell & Boston 1st. I'd even on retain half on Jake and throw in Eller for an extra mid round pick.

I would take any of those trades! I do agree that I would take Jake over him. I like that a lot of these rumors have Jake not negotiating a deal with before being traded which means there is a potential we could have a shot at him this offseason to resign him. Side note one insider is suggesting a package of Jake DeBrusk and John Beecher to the Penguins, with the Canucks sending Vasily Podkolzin to us as well in a 3 team deal. More of him spit balling, but not a terrible return.

Trader Jim has never been shy about fixing one of his mistakes. He doesn't care how he looks. It's one of the many things I liked about him. Nothing worse than having a GM insist something is working when it visibly is not.

They're constructed the way they are supposed to be. Your best, hottest weapons together. An energy line. The second is a bit of a hodgepodge but it has one speedster, one shooter and one grinder. The fourth is what it is on a bad team.

I like Debrusk but with him being UFA, not sure about it. Maybe we take a test run with him if he was going to be an off-season target? I'd be interested in both Beecher and Podkolzin but they arent the high upside prospects I think we need to get in the deal.

Yeah, the more time passes the more it seems like he had his hands tied so he cut out.

We will find out if Dubas has that same trait very soon. He admitted his moves hasn't worked out, so how will he redeem it? The most obvious thing would be whacking the whole coaching staff.

I think he was waiting to see if the players would turn it on and they never did. Now it's time to completely rethink things.

Wouldn’t you be? The season is gone … nothing to play for. He carried the team as much as he could. He probably just wants this season to be over with, however the roster looks at the end of it.

In the first, I saw him make the slowest line change I've ever seen him make. I don't blame him at this point. Gotta be weird having the season over already. Uncharted territory for him.
