How much is to much? Have you seen the penguins roster this season?
- jb55

Yeah it was a joke.

Been critical of the roster since august. Them in this situation is not a shocker.

Some nuggets from Yohe. Not much we didn’t already know:

Guentzel likely to be traded and there’s a bidding war. Dubas valuing prospects over draft capital.

FSG will give Sid as many years as he wants on a new contract and wants to build a winner around him before he retires. Letang viewed as still playing at a high level. Malkin viewed as fading.

Ned trade wouldn’t shock anyone. Org views G depth as a strength and Blomqvist as near NHL ready.

Teams poking around rust but Dubas won’t ask Rust to waive. Don’t expect a trade there right now

You've been crirtical of their roster for like 10 years. You were all about trading Geno before the back to back cups.

That is good news! My only worry is Jake not being 100% odds to be moved. Pending on what the Redwings gave up. I would consider moving Rust in the offseason. Only if he had a solid return though.

I think we should do a Malkin - Crosby - Rust line. I think it could be pretty lethal.

Totally agree with a Malkin-Crosby-Rust line. We should be playing for next year, it would be good to do a test run of Malkin as a winger to know if that is a real option for next season. I also really want to see these guys light it up. Who cares if we lose 5-4 or 3-1... lets score more goals.

Also because if Malkin is going to move to wing that is a major factor into how we approach the offseason. Knowing whether or not you need to find a 2C is a big deal.

A key to the 84 Mario tank was demoting their best goalie so they could start an AHL guy. Can't do that now, but we could trade both goalies and bring back Mr Spicy Pork and get a top-5 pick.

If the plan is to build a winner around Sid before he retired I don’t think you can do that unless you think Blomqvist is a stud. Can’t risk getting sunk by bad goaltending when the rest of the roster is flawed. Jarry’s really stepped up to his contract.

Need a 2c regardless. Malkin can’t hack it.

A game changer you were calling a bust of a trade up until you disappeared for the rest of the season when we started to look good.

Any team, especially Colorado, that has a connection to Crosby should be at least asking the question about bringing him in. As others have said, whatever happens to Sid, it will be Sid's decision.

When Sid says he wants to be a Penguin for life and he hasnt considered playing anywhere else... I believe him. I think he's too classy of a guy to take it public. But if he truly wants to leave, I think he'd talk to Dubas and FSG and it'd be arranged after the season. But if the rumors are true that he's one of the guys propping up Sullivan because he doesnt want to play for another coach... i struggle to see how going to a new team is in the cards for him.

If he wants to go, I hope he goes and wins a Cup. He's earned the right to do whatever he wants. It'd be gross to see him in another uniform.

Ain't nobody getting Nikishin. Especially not for a 30 year old winger.
