Fire Conroy! He didn't get a 1st and Bourque+ Stankoven + Johnston + + for Tanev + Hani as many said they would.

Dallas was never interested in both. And especially not at the cost most Flames fans suggested. The Stars could use 1 d, and 1 FW. Both perferorary players, not top end at their positions. They got Tanev to be their 4D and will now look for some additions to depth. Not giving up their farm for a 1 year run. They'll add some depth and continue along. And be a good team with cup aspirations for the next couple seasons too. It's why they're contenders and not pretenders like the Oilers

Reports that the Flames turned down a 1st + Kulak/Ceci for Tanev. There is the 1st from a stupid team you guys were looking for.

Sounds like Markys not too happy at msnagement. Maybe a team meeting might be needed to settle some nerves.

Both Ceci and Kulak are garbage, Flames management must see Grushnikov as a better fit on an entry level contract. Plus why would we help the oilers? Tanev probably said no to the trade as he wanted a chance to win a cup.

Yep & heard talks open again with Jersey & they are saying they dont need any salary retention. Move him, knew he was going to pout when they moved Tanev. & Lindholm. Let Vladar & a very excited Wolf purge their way in the NHL now.

Totally agree. The way Vladar played against Edmonton shows hes capable. Trade Marky and Hannifin, let the cards fall. If they make the playoffs, even though 7 out, great. If not refresh, restart for next year. Extra cap money pick up a couple free agents.

If we can get a 2024 1st from Markstrom & a 2025 from Bruins for Hanifin, add all the cap space & we have currency & cap to pull off some interesting trades for players finishing their ELC's wanting raises or not quite fitting in with current teams with no cap & suddenly we are getting 23/24 year olds that can step right in & get opportunity & we have the cap room to sign them.Conroy can really turn this around if he plays this smart enough.

Really sick of these spoiled athletes, wah, wah, wah. Try working for a living. Best thing the Flames could do is trade him and drop a couple spots in the standings improving their draft pick. They’re 7 points back, it’s highly unlikely that they gain that much ground, and if they still do great. Take the picks and run. Next year pump Kuzmenko tires and dump him at the trade deadline, the ole pump and dump. Along with Mangiapani, I believe his contract is up, so get the return and run. Conroy had a huge mess and his hands were tied, but I’m happy with what he’s done in such a short time.
Sell, sell, sell.

We’re not winning squat with Markstrom, sell while his value is high. I’d like to see Vladar run with the net for a while to see if he’s for real.
Top 10 picks are needed.

Lots of overreactions over nothing. Just Francis trying to create a story. Markstrom isn't going anywhere. He's not pouting about anything. Obviously, he would prefer if Conroy had just shut down all speculation, but it'll be forgotten in a week.

Maybe so, but why keep Markstrom when his value is so high? If we wait til next year with the loss of Tanev and Hanifin, he may not look as good. Now’s the time to trade him and maximize his return. This team is not a playoff team as of right now, adding some speed and enthusiasm to the lineup never hurt. Flames still have enough veteran leadership to balance that out.

Don't think Allvin and JR will go down that path of aging dmen with liabilities.

Flames didn't get much but it's good you got Tanev off the roster.

Hughes went to management to suggest it. Conroy got way more for Tanev than Benning did. Thanks Benning.

lol Artem Grushnikov looks decent but that was Conroy's focus. still 50/50 if he turns out and unless Conroy can turn that 2nd rounder into something you basically got a meh outcome. Stars ain't making the finals so you can kiss that conditional third rounder goodbye. If Conroy wouldn't have rushed Tanev out he probably could have got a first rounder...but I guess 'Kipper Night' was more important and he wanted Tanev out of the way lol

Maybe we can get a top 8 pick. Way the Canucks are playing theirs might be a 22nd oa.
Hanifin rumoured to the Panthers, they don’t have many picks of their own so I would hope we’d get our young center Lundel + in return.
Embrace the change, we’ve all suffered long enough.

Kings kicking Devil Azz... maybe that rumor of Markstrom/Hanifin may come into play this week. NJ may get desperate and over pay?
