Yeah. It would be really nice to see Dubas send Carter somewhere he has a chance. Sucks the Pens have let him down, a guy with that career and respect around the league deserves better. - Grinder47

I mean can’t even bump him up to the 2nd line because the Pens don’t even have a legit 2c. He’s stuck and it’s just too bad. |

Roenick is saying the players are starting to turn against Sullivan and are starting to lose faith in what he is saying.
Side note Lyubushkin to Toronto. The smaller trades are starting. A few rumor sites are saying there is a lot of talk going on about Reilly Smith from teams calling the Pens.

Trade Guentzel to build up the bottom six in free agency is certainly a take. - Tojo.
I think if you trade Guentzel you try to bring in 1 bigger talent this offseason for the top 6. Then I agree this offseason should be building up the bottom six. I am hoping the trade off Eller and Acciari and get some younger talent who hit, and grind on the bottom six and make it hard on the other team.
Side note Fingers crossed someone calls on Graves this TDL |

You know the thing I don't get about your Carter obsession... His whole career he has been the antithesis of what you claim you like in hockey. He has always been soft, a bit of a female dog was a coke head for the better part of his career.
Now that he is old and slow (but with a big frame) he is somehow some tough, reliable player? Carter hasn't had "that career" and while he seems like he matured he is not some guy who is super highly respected. |

I'd give him a shot as a 3C and PP2 net guy, at this point |

He did once attempt to kill Anssi Salmela.

And apparently got away with a cheap shot on Cale Makar. But yeah, not quite Eric Goddard, Mike Rupp, or even Craig Adams. |

Carter is a top 100 all time goals scored player with 2 cup rings, 2 rings he was a major piece for. While I think he's pretty much cooked now I still respect what he's done in his lengthy career and a lengthy NHL career is a feat in itself.

Man he's getting dusted almost every shift. I don't want him taking more shifts.
Nights off is what he needs. Not promotions. |

I was a huge supporter of us getting Carter. Definitely has had a great career, was a solid contributor to the cup teams. Just saying I can't figure out how he has become the fanboy darling of Grinder because he is not that kind of player. |

Good pickup for the Leafs getting Lyubushkin. Thats a player we should look at for 3RD next season.
Interesting seeing Carolina getting in the mix to retain part of the salary. Retained $700k in salary this year for a 6th round pick. Pretty shrewd move but surprising given they are expected to be buyers at the deadline but they do have a decent bit of cap space. |

Right. If he were used correctly, he might offer something of value. Why he's killing penalties, I have no idea. F sully.

I would trade everyone possible for max return minus Sid, Geno, Letang.
Not that anyone probably wants to sign in Pitt but there are lots of names available. Jake could come back. Elias lindholm as 2c, Reinhardt I would love. Petterson, hanofin, etc. there is crazy talent available. And gadreau signed in cbus. Anything is possible lol |

My son was watching Sportsnet and NHL highlights before school this morning while I was getting ready to leave the house. There was apparently a segment on about Pettersson and the Nucks....my son yells out to me "Dad it looks like Pettersson will be leaving Vancouver!" hahaha
Can't see them trading him before these playoffs but Wild Jimmy Ru is top boss over there and really gun slangs and takes risks sometimes. Come on Dubas, get a big package ready including Jake (with extension with Canucks worked out) to get this done hahaha |

I was hoping he'd up his game with the move to Sids line but he's was just kind of there. Moved back down to the 3rd last night. |

For the record, I don't believe much that comes out of Roenick's mouth.
If it's true, then all the more reason for him to turn to the young bucks.

hahaha that's not a problem for me. Though my nights like that are extremely far and few between the past 10/15 years, I'd do a line with him at a party if he offered hahah. Really not a big deal if you dont have an addictive personality. That poop wont effect an athletes performance next day very much, if at all. Thats why its the drug of choice for professional NHLers and athletes in general.

I did hear that is why Vancouver is so interested in Guentzel to replace him at wing. I have heard some rumors that Jake has mostly Canadian teams on his don't trade list.

The funniest part was that before he started doing it, Grinder used to say Carter was soft. |
