I have heard he is a blowhard but was not sure as he seems to be a pretty popular guy in Hockey media.

Read somewhere but for the life of me cant find it but with Seguin week to week some say he'll be going LTIR & that would free up his cap space & then more than likely he'll be ready for playoffs ala Tampa Bay style. That would allow them to make a play for both Tanev & Hanifin. You gotta wonder if that could be a play the Stars pull off.

Adding the pair would be a game changer..... I dont find the possibility of Dallas or even Toronto doing this that hard to fathom.

Why would they mess with their team chemistry and replace 33% of their defence? And why would they replace an injured F with 2 dmen?

Here we go again. They replace 33% of the D because the 33% they are replacing aren’t nearly as good as the 33% that are doing the replacing. In other words 33% that is replacing the 33% being replaced is better than the 33% not playing. Also the 33% being replaced by the other 33% isn’t as good as the 33% that is replacing them.
Understand? I could go into a bit more for you if it’s complicated.

I agree; teams making trades to get better is just stupid. People need to think before they post!

Also to add to that..... adding what may very well be the best 2nd pair in the league gives you a much better chance of winning the cup which is what its all about.

Good/Winning teams don't need to or make drastic changes at the deadline. Last year Florida made no deals at the deadline and Vegas acquired a 3rd liner who performed above expectations, a 3rd goalie, a 13th fw and an 8th dman. The year before the Av's picked up a 3rd line winger and a 4th line player. And the bolts got a minor league goalie and a 13th fw. Winning teams don't mess with their chemistry much. Some fringe touchups not major changes. Especially not ones that have the returns you guys are asking for. Those are Maple Leaf like deals.
